La Liga official complaint about City

A great thread by Rabin on Twiter about how far right Tebas is and why it shouldn't be legal by UEFA's rules...

It's not really a great thread though.

Tebas is a piece of shit, but ad-hominem is the weakest response there is.

It would be far more pertinent to point out that UEFA is a group organisation, all its power comes from member organisations - federations and clubs - and if Tebas and La Liga have a problem with UEFA's current financial procedures, the way to fix them is to change them via the ECA.

This is just setting the scene for the breakaway ESL without City. The narrative will be that UEFA refuse to act against clubs breaking FFP and aren't fit to run the game. That will get popular support amongst the fans of the displaced clubs and unite them behind the ESL.

I wouldn't be surprised if La Liga is the stalking horse for certain clubs closer to home.

Either way, I wouldn't dismiss this as a stunt.

You're not wrong.

If you wander over to RAWK it's full of this stuff, City have "stolen" three Premier League titles and god knows how many FA Cups and League Cups from their rightful owner! The cult wax lyrical about the day when the ESL will rid them of the City curse.

From RAWK.....

Time for another breakaway like in 1992, it's going to be impossible for clubs to compete against despotic Sportswashing regimes.

I'd like to think with the 4 biggest clubs in the PL owned by Americans now, we have enough clout to change and force a breakaway from the corrupt PL, the other clubs not state owned will have to follow, ban state ownership from it with the added rule of no ownership linked commercial deals, also be great to isolate TV companies who are complicit in supporting Sportswashing so clubs having their own in house TV rights and streaming so not be dictated by the likes of SKY and BT would be great in this new breakaway

If it carries on like this something drastic has to happen by the clubs if the authorities here don't care, it's either a brand new top tier English league again with stringent rules or jumping ship to a European Super League and leaving English Football altogether.

Could be a blessing in disguise seeing Chelsea owned by Americans now.

Reply....

They might end up splitting into two leagues.
We could have the American Soccer League, where all the proper clubs play and The murderous, despotic , human rights abusing sportswashers league where all the state owned clubs play. I’d be quite happy with that.

I would prefer the authorities to grow a pair and just put a stop to clubs being state owned cheating twats tho.

We can’t win the league with City in it so we will create our own. The weird cultists would probably bottle it and finish second in that one too.

There is no reason for UEFA to investigate City unless there is something untoward in the annual financial figures.
When City have proved that everything is is above board then Khaldoon should sue Tebas once and for all,he cannot keep slurring the clubs name.

What really pisses me off is the French League have already issued a statement telling the idiot to do one.
Has anyone heard the Premier League speak up in our defence?

No I thought not. Fuck the Premier League, the hateful 8, Tebag and anyone else. I hope we win the league by Christmas, the 2 main cups and the poxy European one just to fuck with everybody's head.

Spot on this, I was just wondering about it.

You never know, it might prompt the Premier League to come out in support of us, say they've investigated us and we've done nothing wrong. This could draw a line under it.

I live in hope of this, but chances are they'll say nothing or other shit house Premier league clubs will join in with him and we'll be defending ourselves again.

Presumably City have received a copy of this complaint. This is one occasion where I would like City to comment and tell it like it is, that this is a political move.

Also, the key thing here is what the PL say. The head of the French league has hit back. The PL, owned by American clubs have remained ominously silent which suggests, to me, that when the ESL comes, the PL will not back UEFA and will allow the breakaway clubs to "compete".

Khaldoon won’t do a thing, he’s playing the long game. I think the club have already made it clear over the years that they don’t want court battles if they don’t have too. UEFA can’t do a thing about City, we’re free, they’re more like our allies than our enemies, especially with Cerefin as boss man.
I just want to quote this. Khaldoon and Soriano both were in the company of Perez last month for the semi. He’s one of the enemy, they know what they’re doing. Khaldoon is far better businessman than any of these cunts put together.

Think it’s fair to say the Cold War between old & new money in football has gone hot.

Hard to see what the end game is here, but these clubs/leagues aren’t going to allow us & PSG to continue at the forefront of the game, it’s clear as day.
Sheikh Mansour buying FSG?

That doesn’t really make sense if the PL allow that, they will lose out on millions. The only people who really want this is the owners of said clubs and a sparse percentage of fans from these clubs.

and the clubs accountants should sue as well as their integrity is being questioned?

Surely if he is claiming we are in breach of FFP and we are not then we can sue him for slander/defamation along with others who constantly spout shit about us ie state owned.
Sue the asses off a few and others will think twice.
Guess our own FA/PL wont support us in this the way the French did with PSG.

The lesser of 2 evils. If the PL loses Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea they'll lose out on millions anyway. By allowing them to compete in the PL at least they maintain a facade of the "best league in the world".
