It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Thing about this summer is that if there is going to be some upheaval then splash the cash as the dippers are now done with incomings already? I really hope if Jesus, Sterling and Bernardo leave we get two world class players in to replace them?! Plenty of cash between them leaving and f so one lovely profit on the balance sheet?

Pep clearly doesn't think it's an issue. I can't remember the last time I saw Sterling use any of his pace tbh. That's not how we play.
Don't underestimate how fast Foden and Haaland are also.
Apart from setting up Gundo’s first goal in the last game of the season you mean?

Currently on course to sell for 250+ if all those names are sold plus current sales are included.

Selling two wingers and replacing none is some kind of a downgrade. But if you look at it the other way, last season we had the same number of forwards as this season. Haaland and alvarez for gabby and raz. But the forwards we have right now surely lacks versatility considering gabby and raz could play in either of the front 3. I hope we bring a wide player if both raz and gabby go.

Sterling has been playing with his face like a slapped arse for the last few weeks of the season, he was playing with the attitude of someone who knows they are leaving.
Don't get me wrong I love Sterling for us but he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo from 1 yard, when he's on it he's dynamite but the contrast to when he's off his game is black and white.
He looks stale and maybe a move out will suit both parties.
Hard to understand how he’s managed to score 100+ goals isn’t it.

I reckon internally that we will be thinking Palmer is ready to play more, we have gained Alvarez and Haaland. This allows Foden to go back out on the left or right.

Don't see any real issues. I reckon it's been well accepted in the club that Jesus and Sterling would go. Not sure why people are acting surprised now.

I agree that Palmer is ready. He looks quality.
