For me he is one of the first picks on the team sheet and if he does depart he will leave a big hole to fill. His workrate is phenomenal and without him Rodri certainly against the top sides.

I agree he is one of our best players and fits in perfectly with the way we play.

There are not many teams (if any) who wouldn't suffer a major dip in form when KDB isn't playing, but we don't miss a beat and that is partly down to Bernie.

I really hope we can give him a pay rise and convince him his future is with us.

i think the reasons about Bernardos unhappiness aren`t the weather, the Iberian lifestyle or missing his family. I´m pretty sure he would decline a transfer to Benfica.

It`s about the wage (level of Sterling,Grealish or KDB) or he`s a fan of Barcelona.

I think we're slowly moving towards the player free agent model where instead of clubs getting transfer fees.. the players want a big signing on bonus after they're a free agent.

The Mbappe 100 mil signing on fee proves this and those players who think they want to gamble on their career will likely follow his model.

Who say`s we don`t? so far all i have seen is a rehash of last years request, now i know Pep did say we would not stand in his way, and i still believe him but that does not mean we do not value him, my value would be the similar to Suarez, Coutinho to Barca and Neymar leaving, so if Barca can afford him i will wish him well. I’m not so certain and I think you could even throw Zinchenko and Mahrez into the equation. With the players already signed, plus a couple more signings and some academy players we could do a fairly significant refresh of the squad and still be really strong next season.

The only academy player I can see making a very serious breakthrough next year is Palmer imo..

I would have agreed but the clubs stance on any potential Barca move ( ie Pricing out of the move) makes me think this is more to do with money than the Manchester weather.

sam lee does not have a high ranking source. his sources are low level like training ground guys, cooks, media guys etc. while the other guys reporting on city in national newspapers have more high level sources.
