Gabriel Jesus | Joins Arsenal for £45m

It's done now. Will be sad to see him go. Unfortunately, he never quite lived up to the potential he showed when he first arrived here, in the second half of the 2016/17 season. Still, he's a quality player who will add some real value to Arsenal's squad.

The fee....... we should be doing better, IMO. We still haven't got the selling part of our transfer business right.

I often think Gabby and Zinchenko represent the essence of our squad. I will be gutted when either of them leave. That was a fantastic moment and another was his shielding of the ball in the last few minutes against AV.

is that a wind up? the fee seems incredible to me. final year of his contract. getting on for double what we paid for him. i wouldn't quite go so far as to say that we've pulled arsenals pants now and rogered them silly but we've at least slapped their cockney arses. imo of course.

Gabby will be missed but why do some of our fans think we're gonna collapse when we sell a player who's not even a first teamer (in a permanent fixture)?

Love Gabby, wish he renewed....but he's not going to, so this deal is brilliant for us as we've already brought in an elite talent in Haaland
 
Arsenal will pay £45 million plus a further £10m in add-ons for the Brazil international striker with only paperwork and a medical standing in the way of a deal being completed

He's basically wiped out the Phillips fee and probably lowered our wage bill while getting a more balanced squad (which we needed TBF).
 
Good luck to him. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on as a regular starter.

They have signed a top class player, he's never world class in a million years.

He gives his all on the pitch and will be a very good signing for them.

A good deal for all parties.

Another incredible bit of business by Txiki and if he gets a similar deal for Sterling I hope Khaldoon commissions a statue, it's warranted.
