Possibly mate but surely sterling has more going for him in the eyes of football people than maybe we think and gabby is going for £45m plus add ons and sterling high rated in the football world it seems.
I'd really like a senior replacement in for those two though :/If we can get close to 100 million for Gabby and Raz that is fucking brilliant business.
A year left and on 300k a week is probably why
The Cult of Raheem is a very odd one.The fact he’d have no qualms of re-signing for Liverpool shows that it’s just a job for him (and fair enough, I totally accept that). But seeing as the bloke wants to leave, I do often click into this thread in surprise when I see so many City fans upset at the club for Sterling likely leaving.
It’s funny that because Pep has been leaving him out of the team quite a lot recently. I agree we should trust Pep’s judgement and maybe you should consider your semblance of football acumen?I don't mind this conversation as it gives an opportunity to enlighten .
The Premier League teams all play very defensively and deep against City ( Liverpool apart)
The deep line means the only way a forward can get beyond it and into a goalscoring position and not be offside is by a perfectly timed and very speedy sprint. This Sterling does better than 95% of World forwards
Sometimes he arrives at speed to a ball played in at speed and misses and people howl. They are not as easy as they seem.
However in your defence I would argue that one would need some semblance of football acumen to understand the process.
Pep does Apple central doesn't.
He did.Did tolmie ever confirm that if we sold gabby and sterling that we would go into the market for a player to replace them?
Dipped a bit???Overall I'd be disappointed if he goes yes his form has dipped a bit & he misses some easy chances, however with Haaland/Alvarez in the side the focus won't be on him as much to be a goalscorer. Step down for him if he goes Chelsea, if we do sell hopefully City have a replacement in mind aka Nkunku or even Sané if he fancies returning (will probably have to be next summer now)
Despite your protestations he made 47 appearances last season. It’s funny that because Pep has been leaving him out of the team quite a lot recently. I agree we should trust Pep’s judgement and maybe you should consider your semblance of football acumen?
We don't have ownership of the second choiceSterling has had a contact on the table, the club have tried to keep him. If he's unwilling to sign it then we have the choice, keep him and let him go for free or sell him and generate revenue for a replacement.
50+10£
He once was a guaranteed starter and never dropped in big games. The last two years that has changed and 47 appearances doesn’t show starts does it. Don’t believe stats that hide things. He will always be used in most games of course. We flew to the CL final, by him not starting. Don’t know why but pep then decided to play him. Not his fault we lost but I think it tells a story. His cross when he came on against Villa was great, can’t recall how often he does that kind of thing though.Despite your protestations he made 47 appearances last season.
Don't believe Merson or Simon Jordan.
