More reports linking him to Chelsea this morning. I really hope they're bullshit as would make zero sense.
Wouldn't be happy selling Ake to Chelsea. Ake was immense last season and proved a very capable and versatile defender.More reports linking him to Chelsea this morning. I really hope they're bullshit as would make zero sense.
If there's one defender who's now no longer surplus to requirements it's him. John's injury problems are slowly but surely becoming a worry. You could have made an argument one and a half years ago, maybe. Now? It would be madness from City. I call bullshit on this.More reports linking him to Chelsea this morning. By who though? Martinez? Torres? timber? All would basically cost the same as Ake but without the HG-status55+ and he's replaceable.
I like Ake he seems like a nice lad too. You could see the difference in him when he got a fun of games last season he has showed he doesn't look out of place and in some games he was our best defender including playing at left back.Wouldn't be happy selling Ake to Chelsea. The HG status isn't an issue for us.By who though? Martinez? Torres? timber? All would basically cost the same as Ake but without the HG-status
Agree with this, that’s the defence sorted with the extra dosh paying for cuca:)I like Ake he seems like a nice lad too. In the Glory Thread tolm mentioned we've asked for Reece James and £40m for Sterling and Ake, I think taht would be good business to be honest especially of we get Cucurella over the line too it gives us plenty of versatility and options in all areas at the back.
But for Europe we can only register four English players. Hence, Foden excepted, any more than four English take foreign slots. The HG status isn't an issue for us.
We have Carson, Walker, Stones, Phillips* Grealish, Foden and Palmer.
Once Jesus has left, we will only have 13 of a possible 17 foreign players.
Could we not register Walker, Stones, Phillips, Grealish + a club trained goalkeeper instead of Carson in the CL.But for Europe we can only register four English players. Hence, Foden excepted, any more than four English take foreign slots.

One of our best four, yeah.We should be looking to keep Nathan here at all costs, easily one our best centre backs.
As it stands we don't. Thats assuming Jesus goes Phillips and a left back come in. After that it's one out one in.We have decent squad space HG or otherwise for the CL as it stands.
Yeah, but does really matter if they are HG or not at that point. we are over in numbers already and any will count as NON-HG.As it stands we don't. Thats assuming Jesus goes Phillips and a left back come in. After that it's one out one in.
