Odds on Trump announcing his run for 2024 on the next two weeks to try and avoid any criminal charges from the Jan 6 committee findings?
If we have another surprise open hearing next week I would say highly likely.Odds on Trump announcing his run for 2024 on the next two weeks to try and avoid any criminal charges from the Jan 6 committee findings?
The only reason he'll run is to grift more money.Odds on Trump announcing his run for 2024 on the next two weeks to try and avoid any criminal charges from the Jan 6 committee findings?
Nothing says guilt like pleading the 5th...
Counsel.Spot on. The fucker should have said:
"Based on the advice of Council, I refuse to answer on the ground that my answer may tend to incriminate me."
The 1/6 testimony is damaging. But it's hearsay - so and so said such and such about this and that. This sort of evidence isn't going to stick.Odds on Trump announcing his run for 2024 on the next two weeks to try and avoid any criminal charges from the Jan 6 committee findings?
State of this - I suspect state after state will be raising the nutter stakes
Not at all. If it shields him from prosecution then he will run.The only reason he'll run is to grift more money.
Terrifying times when a Cheney is the sane one
Unless he’s had advice from the city council legal department.Counsel.
Fuck me. Isnt there even a basic IQ threshold you have to be above to run for office? It’s Don’t Look Up
The grift is what's payed the lawyers fees. Not at all. If it shields him from prosecution then he will run.

Remember the Access Hollywood tapes - where Trump bragged about his ability to grab pussy? Remember how that was the death of Trump?
Yeah, me too.
Trump's gonna ride the 1/6 hearings out, because his base is a bunch of fact-denying lunatics, which nonetheless constitute roughly 1/2 of America.
Odds that Trump is the next Republican candidate - 65%. He may decline to run due to health issues. He might not have the guts to face a potential loss. But make not mistake, he's not damaged at all beyond viability in spite of the explosive 1/6 testimony.
Think otherwise? Then tune into Fox, where full scale anti-factual deniability is underway. No die-hard Trump supporter is going to be swayed by fact. And months and months later when it comes time to vote - with out-of-control gas prices...
I'll do you one better, SWP.
Odds on Trump winning the Presidency in 2024? For me, roughly 50-50 right now, all things considered.
But let's see how infuriation of the recent SCOTUS rulings play out - my sense is that sky rocketing gas prices are more important when deciding election outcomes; it's the economy, stupid.
I was going to post this earlier but got distracted — to clarify the implication — the Jan 6 hearings have NOT all been “hearsay”. If we look at the witness list, and read the transcripts, there’s first person eyewitness testimony everywhere. In addition, it’s a Congressional hearing, not a trial. In a trial, those named as witnesses by 3rd party witnesses saying they were told such and such can be deposed, or subpoenaed. And all in either hearing or trial are under oath. And perjury is a crime in either case. So while this may not be enough to damn him (and some of his most stalwart defenders like major newspapers are beginning to retreat, like the Washington Examiner), there’s been an undeniable impact. The 1/6 testimony is damaging. But it's hearsay - so and so said such and such about this and that. This sort of evidence isn't going to stick.

Speaking from experience, for anything meaty, they always seek the advice of counsel.Unless he’s had advice from the city council legal department.
