Quality player, i wish we were in for him but i can't see it
That'll be Der Krone und Anker. Just across the road from Der Rote Löwe (excuse my crappy German).I think that lad who scored for us against QPR on the last day of the season came from that pub league and I think Kompany and De Jong also played for the German version of the " Crown and Anchor"
Serious question. Why can't you see this being a possibility? He would appear to be a natural replacement for Raz and is currently at odds with Bayern over a contract extension so may be available at the right price. Is it that you just don't see us making a move for him?Quality player, i wish we were in for him but i can't see it
I just think his salary may be too muchSerious question. Why can't you see this being a possibility? He would appear to be a natural replacement for Raz and is currently at odds with Bayern over a contract extension so may be available at the right price.
Fair point. Might hinge on wage demands.I just think his salary may be too much
Playing for Bayern in Germany where they are so dominant is not a true test of any player. They do not face the same relentless pressue of the PL. The German league used to be very strong and I have watched it for years including many visits to Germany. But these days it is very weak (though still stronger than Italy). We have made some great signings in recent years from Germany. But in my view Gnabry is not as good even as Sancho (or Sterling) and Sancho has been found out in the PL because of his lack of pace. I think Gnabry would be no more than a squad player at City. I would rather give Cole Palmer an extended run in the team on the right."pub league" which got us some of our best players in recent years give me a fucking break with this elitism
Only half a year younger, and that's nothing!younger
Totally forgot about that lanky knockoff Peter Crouch and don't even get me started on that Belgian fraud Kompany, never liked him and if I remember correctly, we all wanted him replaced with that lad from Blackburn, unfortunately Mancini stuck with the Belgian fraud and the brilliant Sir Alex went in for Jones and the rest is history! Just another case of us signing fucking pub league footballers from the Bundesliga.I think that lad who scored for us against QPR on the last day of the season came from that pub league and I think Kompany and De Jong also played for the German version of the " Crown and Anchor"
I'd be surprised if Bayern would do business with us. They appear to dislike us as much, if not more than, TebasSerious question. Why can't you see this being a possibility? If he won't drop his wage demands, we just say to him, fair enough and move onFair point. Might hinge on wage demands.
I think this would be a strange move in my opinion. 27 years old, would probably be 3rd or 4th choice, on big wages. Would obviously be a decent like for like replacement for Sterling (even if I would for sure consider him a downgrade), but if we are going to dowgrade Sterling we might as well try to sign someone a bit younger with potential like say Leao, who at least has the potential to become as good or better than Sterling. Not just get a similar type of player that is worse.
You've probably left some Blue-Mooners scratching their heads thinking, 'well, he must have a different father to Gary and Phil'.I'd buy him just because he looks like Aaron Neville.
