Hip Hop/Rap Appreciation thread

What are you talking about?

Hip Hop/ Rap's root weren't embedded in gangster elements. It/ we started out vibing and partying with the height of that coming from the sounds of Afrika Bamabaataa and Soulsonic Force

to Digital Underground trying to revive that same feeling

We had classics like 'Captain Rock'

THAT was Hip Hop. Rap is its bastard son who became Hip Hop's unsavoury carer.

Seriously? I bow to your superior knowledge obviously.

Muay Thai, i fare better in Muay than i ever did in Kickboxing.

Much more disciplined, keeps me more grounded n the therapeutic rewards does wonders for endorphins n dopamine.

Fair enough. There's a gym near me that I am hoping to get to use as soon as my running injuries piss off.

Ive heard it does wonders, a Stockport County lad I used to knock about with keeps posting his accomplishments whilst he's on a tour of the region.

Go for it, defo, can be very humbling in many ways as the more you indulge, the more you really get to take the most unassuming looking people at face value, that in itself holds in good stead whilst navigating day - day life n it's trials n tribulations.

Running on grass or sand is better on organs n trumps over concrete or most treadmills when factoring in proprioceptors.

Very true!! Shame not many areas near me to just run on grass, all mainly concrete etc.

Did anyone see the Rolling Stone top 200 Hip Hop albums that they did recently? Utter shit show.

Top 200 Hip Hop albums
Cracks me up how they continue to delude themselves as to their relevance outside of the front desk, brown envelopes, inappropriate shenanigans of fuckeries n sordid orgies in the wider scheme of thangs.

If Heineken did the Fortune 500, more like!

Noah (shit man) Shachtman n Brian Szejka, editor-in-chief n publisher non respectfully must be laughing their little fuckin socks off at all the attention n stir.

247 eh!

Gots to feel a tad sorry for all those budding young song writers around the globe that sent in their lyric sheets n beats but forgot to include their forwarding details whilst stuck in their rooms n restricted of movement...

I can't see him being like that, but he has gone through a fair amount of ghost writers over the years hasn't he

I honestly would've preferred him to say 5 bangers are in the pipeline, drop em, wait, then repeat.

Yeah, the ghostin aspect applies to quite a few, though not really unsurprising i suppose.

Still waiting on Detox, Hell still waiting on the joint album with Ice Cube frm the early 90s
I reckon that as the years have flown by, contractual n credit affiliate royalties, career paths etc has become at least one of many factors as to a potential Helter Skelter album not coming to fruition anytime soon.

Two of thee most meticulous bods in the game, well, left coast, if anyone can finally get it over the line it's Cube n Dre.

Album title name been over-used in general, re-name maybe

Feel sorry for the DOC out of all of this.

Would have been his album spot, but they recorded for this joint instead. And we all know about his voice now.

Wonder when the documentary about DOC comes out, seen some snippets and it looks great.
