It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

i name checked the departures of both Sterling and Jesus, not just Sterling, so why did you make it a Sterling thing?

I also expressed a concern that we risk running Haaland into the ground if the unproven Alvarez and Palmer take a long time to fulfil their potential.

You're entitled to your opinion as am i. And i happen to have concerns that we may take a while to get into our rhythm which could lead to early dropped points that in turn could lead to a lower points total. I hope that's not the case, I hope Haaland continues to be the goal scoring freak of the last few years.

I've defended my opinion without attacking or praising yours. Feel free to say your bit as this is a forum after all, but i don't enjoy arguments so with the greatest of respect, i'll leave it there blue.
No worries...its all good...

how much does laporte have on his contract, maybe he could leave next summer so city is going for those names

Totally agree with this.
My own opinion is that Boulders injury concerns necessitate a fourth high quality centre back.
Ake’s own injury concerns may have stopped him elevating himself into the primary pairing.

Agree fully, Laporte and Stones injury concerns means any central defender that comes in and can stay fit has a chance to make that position theirs next to Dias.

He has 3 years left including this year, but he has made noises about going to one of the big Spanish clubs in the past.

Now that he is playing for the Spanish national team it could potentially make sense for him from a marketing point of view.

I'm not sure attracting a top player will necessarily be a huge problem - we may well be planning to sell Laporte next summer when he has 2 years left, as he's shown no signs of renewing and has made plenty of noises in the last couple of years.

Kounde would be ideal - not only as a top centre back, but also an alternative and potential successor to Walker. We know how vital Walker's pace and defensive ability is to our side - Kounde would be a far more solid option there against top sides than Cancelo IMO.

Gvardiol is young-, left footed, not full established and can play full back. Top option
