why do people continue to say this, we've done this plenty of time before

Also, it's not an awful position to negotiate from. It's not like this makes a huge difference, they have a price in mind, we have to meet it, it was true a week ago and it's true today, if we don't meet it we'll get someone else. this is an overrated concern

That would be the sort of arrogant comment United fans would have made 10 years ago. The same sort of comment that made us loathe the f-ckers so much.

But is it needed?
I argue we could have kept Jesus and zinch.
We are losing characters from the team which is never good and going into a new season with a thin squad yet again.
