No way would we have let Zin go if Cuckoo wasn’t coming.
I'm not sure that's true as apparently there's still a lot of work to do on Cucurella.

What it does mean though is we're signing a full-back before the window closes as there's no way we're going in to the season with just Walker and Cancelo. That could mean opting for a cheaper alternative if we don't meet Brighton's valuation but we'll definitely sign someone.

You need a leftback, Bloom knows this
City will pay what they think he’s worth and not a penny more. Plenty of evidence of that when we have walked away and over better players too. Personally, I think he’s ok but needs a lot of work to become a top defender. Big difference playing to survive in the league to competing for all the prizes. He has not proven he’s at that level. That will affect his value.

£50 Million and we'll start the negiotation upwards, you lot now need a left back I believe

Here we go.

Mate - with respect - unless you’re Tony Bloom, it doesn’t matter what you think he’s worth, and nor does it matter what a bunch of City fans on a forum think he’s worth either.

It’s a pathetic, predictable phenomenon every summer when we’re negotiating for a player that fans of their current teams get all giddy and confused, and pop up on here making apparently hardline, inflexible valuation statements as if they’re somehow involved in the negotiations - and Txiki is sitting on Bluemoon killing time waiting for their insight.

You’re always going to over-value the player, and we’re going to undervalue him. Because we see it solely from the position of our own clubs interests - and don’t really give a shit about the other side.

But none of it matters in the end.

Brighton will have their valuation, and City will also have their own valuation. If the two Clubs can negotiate a meeting point somewhere in the middle they can both be relatively happy with - it’ll happen. And if they can’t - it won’t.

All the rest is nothing more than hyperbolic hot air!

Brighton finished 9th last season hardly relegation level and a club on the up. It isn’t right that you speak of their club like that and is disrespectful. None of us know how much the club are prepared to pay.

We do know we won’t pay over the odds

A-fucking-men!

It's funny what being bored in the summer will drive people to write on a forum, isn't it? Words are cheap, I suppose. In fact, wrong: words are free.

I don't think he is worth 1/2 of what we paid, I never got him at Villa and what I witnessed last season did not surprise me.

People on here keep saying he needed 12 months to settle in, we will see, I am not holding my breath for Jackie boy, I hope I am very wrong.
Likes to go out and get pissed which doesn’t really fit into peps way of thinking . Never to far away from the tabloids is our jack .

Nonsense. Jack is doing well and will improve. Why the need to take such a negative stance? Don’t get it.

Someone asked if they thought he was worth £100m. I think that's a reasonable question when people are debating the reported valuation of Cucurella.

Not trying to put the lad down but that was a stupid amount to pay for Grealish and it was always going to be held against us when it came to signing future players.

One thing I will say, he looks like he has lost a lot of timer over the summer, not sure he has been in the gym or at the side of the road throwing up ;)
