Cucurella to CITY

Cucurella deal: Still no more news so it’s difficult for anyone to know whether the deal is still in the negotiation stage or dead. Grimaldo the latest of many names to crop us as an alternative. Not many City fans too happy with the possibility of Grimaldo but as the season is fast approaching some saying anyone is better than no one. Others saying City will leave it right until the end of the transfer deadline to secure anyone.

10 days to the start of our season.

The window closes 11PM on 1st September.

I’ll post one of these most evenings around this time on this thread

10 years ago we had shittiest transfer market ever since the Sheikh Mansour era..

Mancini was waiting for De Rossi and RVP and maybe Bale as well :D TBF Mancini had the point -> guy won PL title against fucking Fergie and his United, who were playing like robots.. You can hate current Liverpool team, but at least they have got some quality players and even though you can't bear, it's logical when they win.. But United ? Phil Jones and Johny fucking Evans and other shitheads, except Rooney - they didn't have quality players, so it was Fergie and his "magic", which made this whole process unbearable..

And so Mancini waits for those three players, to compete for another title and maybe CL and at this stage at the end of July we only had Jack Rodwell :DDD and Adam Johnson / Dejong were gone.. And on 31-th of August we got the perfect pack of players: Scotty Sinclair, Xavi aka slow Garcia, Maicon's fake double and Nastasic..

10 years later our transfer window is masterpiece created by Txiki and other ones.. You can't even wish for the better one...

LATE NIGHT NEWS UPDATE

Cucurella deal: Pol Ballus and Romario report tonight that although Cucurella‘s agents are trying to push the bid through City and Brighton are still £10 million apart with City ready to walk away. Cucurella has reportedly stated his wish to move to City and only City again today. With the long running saga on the verge of collapsing Bluemoon posters again wonder who City have as an alternative. At least we should know the result of negotiations soon one way or another.

Funny how when we broke a record for most money spent in the Summer 2017 everyone was crying endlessly but now, 5 years later, in Summer of 2022 when we broke record for most money gained from selling and biggest positive net spend in PL history, suddenly everyone's radio silent LMAO You can't make this shit up.
They would rather end themselves than praise us for our finances.
As of now, only obscure sites/papers talk about it.

I feel that City need LB but Guardiolas comments made it appear we would go with what we have. If we don't want to pay the fee for Cucarella I hope we move on like when we got Dias.

Pol Ballus sounds like a posh rubber dick .
 
Another season of makeshift fullbacks then? What if Cancelo gets an injury, are we going to play Aké there for majority of the season. I just hope the issue is addressed, even if it's not Cucurella, as long as it's a decent option we can play week in week out or as cover to Cancelo.
