25 years ago, we were just about to kick off our disastrous League 1 campaign under Alan Ball, while they were looking for their third consecutive PL title, having won the previous two, and laughing at us.

Now we're the ones looking for that third consecutive title and they're a laughing stock. Karma is, indeed, a fucking bitch.

On that basis I think we can take it as a given that even when we are all asleep we are still despising them.

Sounds strange but relegated is a no-no for me, with their resources they'd be hammering teams left, right & centre settings all sorts of records.

I think this season will be worse than last. I can see them in a mid-table scrap with Wolves/Palace/Leicester/Brighton. Think they will be behind: City/Liverpool (obviously) Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa and on their form from Xmas to May, probably Newcastle as well.

For the last ten years its been well known that their managers have 1 non-negotiable written into the contract: qualification via league position or a Europa Cup win into the next seasons CL.

I wonder if TenHan will have that same clause on his contract of employment, if so he is fukcd.
