I could put my entire bank account (which is £6.72p) :) on Alvarez playing week in week out on either side of Haaland. He made a huge difference when he came on.

The concern is having played two seasons with no striker players being patient holding onto the ball to find openings...We don't have to do that anymore! Numerous times the ball was in today and the wide players along with KDB holding onto it when they could have slipped in Haaland. It will take time but it will come.

We had them on the ropes after the equaliser until the handball, then predictably our heads dropped. anyway the important game is next week.

We had a Hand literally in 3 of the 4 goals.

First half we were very poor - second half we dominated until Dias inexplicably gave the referee a decision to make.
Had he not done that they whole agenda would be different.
Anyway, those are the margins in football where it’s all about the result.

In spite of the obvious negatives (Dias, Rodri) there were lots of positives for City today so not a bad day at the office.

We absolutely need to vary our attacking play though if we’re going to get the best out of Haaland. Obviously the sitter was ridiculous but overall he made so many good runs that went unnoticed. If we don’t utilise his strengths, he’s going to get frustrated.

Far better to come, we know that. Not worth worrying about anything yet.
