I thought Klopp was moaning that his team weren't ready - doesn't look like it to me. City are, unsurprisingly, off the pace again at the start of the season. Haaland needs a link-up guy and I think that will be Alvarez. Liverpool much the better unit I have to say, wasn't a pen but there you go, see it in slow-mo or freeze frame and it looks obvious. Just when our tails were up. Onwards and upwards blues, win lose or draw.

Grealish and Mahrez are the only players who worry me! If we had salah and diaz we would be unstoppable. Didn’t understand when we bought mahrez and certainly didn’t understand spending that much on grealish. Hopefully Foden and palmer come into this season strong, with the latter given the chance of course
