Maybe our 3 club shareholders want to start seeing some money returned to them?

According to Transfer Market City are +£46mill on transfers this Summer.

Which with a small amount of add-ons up to £50mill, which Bloom was after, would have taken City to -£4mill on transfers this Summer.

Hmmm.
I don't think the net transfer spend in one summer window can be taken in isolation.

Doesn't it all get wrapped up in the accounts as player costs, which include wages and the amortized transfer fees? While cash is coming in, I'd assume that Sterling, Jesus and Zinchenko would have had minimal amortized fees left in the accounts, so Haaland, on his own could end up "costing" the same amount in next year's accounts as those three cost in this year's (with the amortized fee+agent fees+higher wages = the other three's wages).

There is probably an accounts expert on here who could explain/correct me, but I'm pretty sure it's not as simple as counting the cash in one transfer window.

No we’re taking a sample size of the last five years. We’re also using context clues given city clearly targeted a couple of people and haven’t been credibly linked with anyone else.
We will either sign a left back or we won't and we'll have to make do with what we've got.

The amount of flapping on here and on social media about this is now bordering on the ridiculous

Good thing we already done our business with Haaland, imagine if Haaland instead the story of our stalled transfer saga this summer.

What's mind boggling is you not being able to get your head around the idea that once we wasted £50m on one unproven full-back, we might not rush do make the same mistake again.

Also if £12m is such a small amount why don't you donate it? Then we can sign Cucurella.
Completely different and such a shit argument. We spent 100m on fucking Grealish (someone I’m defending in the player thread) so I don’t think because 5 years ago we got it wrong with Mendy it means we won’t ever buy a left back again or pay the money to. We’ve had many success stories since Mendy or is it only that position which is an issue?

Think he did his ACL past season, he's just started training but a ways off still yet.

Chelsea still have Alonso and Emerson too atm so can't see them keeping 4 lbs.

Alonso is off to Barcelona, Emerson is crap and Chelsea have been trying to shift him for years, and yeah Chilwell is just now returning from doing his ACL. Cucurella wouldn't have been a signing I'd have gone for as we have other priorities but it's a not a signing that's hard to understand. Lovely player to watch.
