The media feed their frenzy. Within moments of his arrival, Nunez was immediately proclaimed as Haalandesque and, today, he inspired their comeback. Yesterday, Salah signing his contract could be the making of his season. Today, I chatted to a fan who said that Klopp gave every player a chance. The point's been made, but they are now only referred to as the 'Liverpool, who came so close to unheard of glory, last season'. Those who buy into this guff are the ones who climb the hill in their own way and it is that which means that ANY defeat comes with a plethora of excuses because they cannot deal with their own fallibility and certainly cannot contemplate the thought that any professional player may ever want to leave their cult.

When is Brighton away during the hosepipe ban hopefully
Just looked it up, January unfortunately it will be the cold and windy excuse then

It gets better — Klopp blamed the draw on the “dry pitch”.

So his list of excuses for dropping points now includes:

Dry Pitch
Long Grass
Wind
Too Many Matches
Heat
Cold
Mean Opposition Players

Can’t wait to hear the next addition.

My prediction: “shorts are too tight”.
What the fuck is Shergar on about ?
The ground conditions were Good to Soft!

Not forgetting the classic, "We only had time to clear one half of the pitch of snow".

Always annoys me when the dippers or rags drop points and we're not playing until the next day. I don't feel I can laugh at them properly until we have the three points in the bag.
Don't worry we will have plenty of laughs throughout the season :-)

I’ll laugh at them today even if I know our club is set to fold tomorrow.

It’s important to savour what ever joy is on offer in life when it is there.

Dippers trying to make out like Nunez did something amazing. He scored and it was a decent goal but its laid on a plate for him. He also completely fluffed an identical situation just prior to the goal trying the same flick when he could easily have put his foot through the ball with a bit of spin and buried it and just before that he had a glorious chance that he could have buried or laid off for a tap in and he did neither, passing to the only defender in his way instead. Then for their second, he totally balls'd up a simple touch and finish, very fortunate Salah was also there.

So yeah he scored one but its no exaggeration to say he should have scored 4 in the short time he was on the pitch. I guarantee Mane bangs in those chances and Liverpool somehow win that game 3-2. He's going to score a lot of goals because of liverpools relentless percentage football of cross after cross but he's not on the level of Mane and that's already cost them points.

With the goal he missed the kick entirely, but it bounced off Adarabioyo, back onto him and went in. Complete fluke from an air shot.

Hope they enjoyed their 24 hours of fame last week , but come the end of the season they will be wishing to swap a pointless Commnunity Shield victory for three points at Fulham , drawn games cost them last season and it will this season. The midfield that finished the Fulham game was Henderson , Elliot & Milner , none of them would make our bench.
