Bernardo Silva

Well, he can go if he wants to, there's no need to keep him here by force, that's it. But we need to replace him with a top class player. Let it be Verratti or De jong or Bellingham but not the likes of Nunes... Or I can imagine not signing a midfielder and instead buy a winger and then foden goes there. I don't know...

There will be no replacement this season. We didn't replace Sane (although we still had decent cover)

So we have to give in to a 'realistic' fee because Silva didn't get to leave last year, with 4 years left on his contract?

I thought we would let players go if we received a fair offer for a player. £70m is a joke for a top 5 CM with 3 years remaining on their contract.

If another club wants to offer us £90m+ then fair enough, that's a fair offer and we could let him go even though he is a very important part of the team.

Just put a deadline on this so we can focus on the season.

He must hate it here and we probably see him as a liability. His form has been on a downward slope as well recently. When at his best, he is the best, but I don’t think we’ll see that again. €80m is too low though. Surely we must have a hell of a lot of money to spend now should we want to?

This has been repeated umpteen times here and proven wrong .

It looks as though it's more about how much we will get for Bernardo rather than if he will go or not. Also as others have said, we may have agreed a fee with Bernardo last year, give us another year and if said figure is met you can go.

He really wanted out since last season no?, if he looked happy to be here, then why the noises still going strong througout this summer?
that wasn't the statement, the statement was he is giving less. He might want to move but you cant question how he has been on the pitch or in the locker room at all.

I think it's fair to say that this is one of those things that exists more in the heads of forum users than professionals.

Do you honestly think anyone at City sees this stuff in the press and then walks into training the next day in a huff?
I mean, okay we don't have certainties, but as seen with Jack's response to that media outlet recently on Twitter, players do see and engage in what is happening on socials. You can't tell me this won't affect the way some colleagues see him. Some like Julian, who is a couple of thousand of miles away, or like Rodri, or Ruben. There is a thing called loyalty. To your team-mates, your club, just for the sake of the success and family they all built over this period.

He's been with his ass out for about two years now.

Really hope this isn't true.

See I'd normally disregard the source. But he made Chelsea fans look like mugs when they disregarded his info. He's been incredibly reliable for Barca news this summer.

It still will affect his performance on the pitch, on the outside he can say to himself that he will give it all again but i doubt it will have the same effect like last season because it's been two times his wish to get move has been failed.

Because Barca are using one credit card to pay another and deciding between keeping the lights on or paying the wifi bill.
they aren't doing either of those things. They are spaffing their credit on a new merc in the garage and the latest 60inch QLED TV. And then saying they are going to buy a pony for the kids and a new speedboat.

The sooner that house of straw collapses the better for football.

Literally everything this guy has said about Barca has been right to far and he's been the first to break it most of the time- not looking very promising this to be honest

Seeing that none of Jorge Mendes big clients moved this summer, maybe its him driving this transfer for commision.
