they are putting together some squad of high quality players. No . I think you are giving too much credit to them.
NO PLAYER is playing for free.
The players all agreed to deferments.
Too much crap talked about debt, Barca are huge like it or not, they will always be a special case, sadly same with the raggys.
He is still getting a huge weekly wage, so he is hardly starving.I said nearly for free, and as you know "deferments" mean nothing, ask De Jong?
I don't necessarily agree with high quality. Kounde alone won't fix their defence. Joldi Alba is too much error prone and aging. Ter stegan is not impressive. RB situation is unclear. Busquets is old and rusty. Has some good games many bad ones. Lot of inexperienced players in midfield. Only Attack looks ok I guess but far from lethalthey are putting together some squad of high quality players.
Sh1t or bust with the loans/cash they have raised.
To be fair back in the 80s we were in a similar predicament, run into the ground by a lunatic, but still a huge club that someone would want to take over and return to former glories. That part is very much true, when it goes though I want it to go with a thump ;)
Why is £150 millions unrealistic. Coutinho went for similar as did Hazard. Is Bernardo not as good with 3 years on his contract? Its not our fault Barca are in financial trouble. He is in the top 5 footballers in the world.Exactly, I don't think he does expect us to let ourselves get ripped off which is why he's just keeping his head down and getting on with the job. No point him coming out and stating a desire to leave when it's all in the hands of people behind the scenes. He knows he'll get his move eventually when his contract is up anyway. It sounds like City aren't trying to stand in his way by putting an unrealistic price tag on him like £150m or something but I'm sure he understands we can't sell him for peanuts either.
They are still a team that could give the best a game, they are turning the corner.I don't necessarily agree with high quality. Kounde alone won't fix their defence. Most have deferred including the little fella Messi, Barca will still be paying that fella for decades. Most of the players have agreed to salary reduction not deferment but reduction to allow other players to get registered

The bigger the club the more people want to get involved and the easier it is to raise cash.
It simply depends on how they do on the pitch, once a huge club gets momentum it takes some stopping, and the cash comes rolling in.It's going to take them years to get back to where they were IMO, as long as they spend a decade with their arses hanging out of their trousers I am happy.
Liquidation is too good for them.
Missed one here TolmNeymar waiting by the phone.
He is asking about City.
Barca almost represent a wannabe nation (Catalonia) just as Real are the national club side. You are tight but also so wrong… I guess they are a special case in footballing terms but big organisations always make this mistake… too big to go bust, huge revenue stream… Pan Am, Polaroid, Kodak, Enron, Woolworths, Debenham’s would disagree.
Not as "tight" as Barca ;)You are tight but also so wrong… I guess they are a special case in footballing terms but big organisations always make this mistake… too big to go bust, huge revenue stream… Pan Am, Polaroid, Kodak, Enron, Woolworths, Debenham’s would disagree.
True, but do you not think there was more planning in that than pure lucky coincidence? Not so much benfica's exit which is obviously out of the club's control, but more their deliberate patient wait to see if the CL qualifications resulted in any new available players.
At a time when it was obvious we needed a CB and we were all panicking about missing out on one as reported target after guessed target was deemed too expensive or became unavailable, the club held their nerve going into the final couple of weeks and then reacted quickly and decisively to a change of situation of club and a player they had their eye on for at least a whole year.
