He is currently on £500,000 p/w no matter how you dice it.
If you're going to be dishonest, why don't we just say he's on €60k/week because that's what he was on last year.

I don’t think the issue with De Jong is his wages. It’s that City seemingly have no interest in the player any more. Shame, as it would make good sense on a lot of levels.

I'm not denying he's a talented player but he's hardly lived up to the billing with Barca since his transfer. I'm sure there's a lot of factors contributing to that but he's certainly had the opportunity to do more. You're probably right.
We'll end up seeing Chelsea sign him, strenghening them significantly, then Barcelona will use the money Boehly is throwing around to put in a good offer for Bernardo, which we seem to have agreed we'll accept.
Then the last week of the transfer window will be us trying to buy second rate replacements, everyone will put up their prices or say no and we'll go down our list of options until we sign someone with a release clause from Spain or Portugal.
Agree with the first bit. I don’t think we’ll be scrabbling around for a Bernardo replacement though. I imagine we know already who we’ll go for (maybe Paqueta or Nunes) and probably have a deal in principle lined up. If Bernardo goes this window, and I very much hope he doesn’t, I think we’ll move very quickly and decisively for a replacement. You're probably right.

How do you know he is getting his 17m in time from Barca to then leave and transfer somewhere else?So to sum up.
I said comparing him to Bernardo is wrong, he needs to be compared to other Bernardo replacements.
You've replied by just comparing him to Bernardo again.
I said he's getting his 17m from Barcelona, you've replied by saying I think he's going to let it go.
Have you been in the sun too long?
ExactlyNot mention his agent wanting a slice.
.we need Bernardo Silva and letting him go and bringing in FDJ weakens our squad
No matter who we replace Bernardo with, we’re weakening our squad. If he does go, then FDJ would be one off the best replacements we could get. Looked certain to be the best midfielder in the world before he joined that shitshow. I’d personally want Barella, but don’t think he wants to leave Italywe need Bernardo Silva and letting him go and bringing in FDJ weakens our squad
I'll take any 2 from FDJ, Nunes and Paqueta to replace Bernie,No matter who we replace Bernardo with, we’re weakening our squad. I hope you are right, if Bernardo leaves we need a replacement.Any deal for Bernardo should be caveated that we get our replacement in first or he doesn’t go! Barca seemingly know the fee to get Bernardo and it’s rumored he has agreed personal terms so that could get done very quickly? It’s our replacement that needs sorting asap first if the deal was to happen
Haven’t seen enough of Paqueta to make an opinion on him. Nunes just seems like a super boring signing to meI'll take any 2 from FDJ, Nunes and Paqueta to replace Bernie,
