To me Barcelona aren’t doing anything that we didn’t do to Brighton. Just we are now the selling club. So don’t get any animosity towards Barcelona tbh
We put in realistic bids for a young player who’s only ever played for Eibar Getafe and Brighton with no CL or international experience and only one year’s experience in the Prem. Also it appears that Brighton didn’t open up any dialogue with us about how much they wanted for Cucurella so we were just bidding what he was worth.

Barça want to sign the second best player at the best team in the world who’s been instrumental in winning multiple Premier League trophies, who has over six years of CL and international experience, who’s in his prime years, and City have even put a very low price tag on him despite all that already (easily £20m short of his true value) but a very clear value which Barça aren’t getting anywhere near.

City also never mentioned anything to the press about Cucurella; whereas Barça and Bernardo…

Half of your prediction will probably come true
Bernie is staying, FDJ to Chelsea if anywhere

Chelsea definitely need to sell some players. Koulibaly, Sterling Cucurella, Chukwuemeka in already, with interest in Fofana, Gordon, FDJ and Aubameyang.

If it was me, I would be telling Bernardo what Paritici was telling Kane last summer... Conversation should go something like this:

Barcelona say they want you and you are are the 'top priority' but they can't want you that much... They have spent a lot of money this summer and you are last on the list.. they obviously don't value you either... You are twice the player Raphinha is and they paid 50m up front rising to £55 for him ... We aren't going to accept a value below what you are worth and you should consider whether you want to go somewhere that you are down the list and undervalued when you are loved here...

In a season or 2 when Bernardo and Gundogan have most likely left, I could see a midfield 3 of Rodri, Grealish and Foden being quite effective. Whether we ever get to see it or not is another matter.

I believe he will sign a new contract before transfer deadline day
be smart put a release in from both points of view. put a nail in this till barca rock up with it. No speculation, here's your new pay, money spread out. Suits everyone. July 1st to August 1st its 100m etc, once the deadline is passed, its over for a year.

Matheus Nunes going to Wolves - i cant help think that is a stepping stone to us if he steps up to the premier league and eventually opening the door for Bernardo exit at the end of the season.
