be funny if Musk did buy United (but very unlikely) as he'd personally lead recruitment but 10 times worse than Todd Boehly. Musk would be running Twitter polls to see which players he should be buying.

So over the last 38 Premier League games, the equivalent of an entire season, my admittedly dodgy maths has it that they are 41 points behind us (96 to 55)
That’s an average of more than a point a game, which is MASSIVE

Their goal difference is even worse - they’re 81 behind us (76 to minus 5).
That’s an average of more than two goals a game, which is even more MASSIVE.

Lads, we’re basically playing a different sport
Now 42 points and 84 goal difference behind us over the last 38 PL games

They think it works like American sports where you can have millions of people wearing New York Yankees hats without knowing who the fuck they are. But football doesn't work like that. American sport has a far higher turnover of successful teams, whereas European football has a virtuous circle between investment, success on the pitch and income. Teams that fail to invest drop off the face of the earth.

Anyway, another player has turned them down because they can't match his wage demands. And there's the other issue. When you're shit, even average players like Rabiot demand top wages to come down to your level.
And so the performance gets worse, the sponsorship drops off, the shirt sales drop off, the clicks and visits to mutv and social media sites get less……..round and round we go and down the plug hole.

He got rid of the youth policy. He sacked Steve Fleet who had been successful in winning the old Central League season after season. At the same time bringing players through like Kenny Clements, Ged Keegan, Peter Barnes, Gary Owen & others. All so he could install one of his mates in the post. Paul Power was another he brought through. I was so disgusted with him I sold on my season ticket half way through the season. It made me lose my love for City for a long time & took ages to get it back again. He even thought about bringing Martin Peters out of retirement who must have been in his 40's at the time.
