In my completely unbiased and rational opinion I can't help but agree4th best centre back in the league (behind Dias, Stones and Laporte)
Agree.I don't know that to be true today. I agree it was true 2 seasons ago. Unfortunately though, we live in the present.
Ill have to be shown it again. I'm not going to just assume it. For now, it's Ake and somebody for me. That somebody could be Dias, Stones, Phillips, Laporte when healthy.
But on current form, Ake is #1.
I think he did it making that superb last gasp clearance in the 6 yd box.Seems a decent lad. Gives his all but he just seems to struggle to stay fit and it’s never clear how he gets hurt.
Agree.
Be interested to see Stones partner Ake against Newcastle.
Sick note, sadly the injuries are destroying his career with us.
Bedside reading?I read groin strain
Was playing very well but that’s also too short a timeframe to really judge. He got a couple of great blocks or clearances in against Newcastle fair play to him but i don’t think there is much doubt that even if he’d stayed on Newcastle were scoring at least a couple in that match.Minutes Ake has played - 200
Goals conceded - 0
Minutes Ake hasn't played - 160
Goals conceded - 5
He's a massive part of our defence at the moment and need him back fit ASAP
