Everything Star Wars

Nice one mate. I paid a bit extra to have genie+ so “fast tracked” the milenium falcon ride. Paid extra to “fast track” rise of resistance and guardians of the galaxy as genie+ doesn’t work for those rides and a couple more (disney milking every penny right now). Rise of resistance had queues of 3 hours unless you got there for rope drop.
And that’s the problem I have, Genie + was called fast pass in the past and it was free, now you’ve got to pay for park tickets then $15 a day each for Genie + and then if you want then big rides a further $10-15 for a ride, it’s fucking scandalous, Roy will be spinning in his grave. Chapek is a twat.

Spot on mate, they are just having our eyes out.

It’s even worse than this though, you buy a 2 week ultimate disney park ticket. You have to book in advance which parks you want to go to. My original plan was to hit the 4 parks hard in the first 4 days then play everything else by ear - thinking I’d be able to book parks easy. Daughter persuaded me to pre-book all the parks for the whole 2 weeks which we did a few weeks before we left. Thank god we did, there was days when no parks were available to those that hadn’t prebooked. I don’t know how it works for those that just turn up and buy tickets on the day (the locals) but it’s scandalous that you can buy a two week ticket but not be guaranteed to be able to use it.

Folk were much more fired up as well, arguments a plenty. We were in Hollywood studios when this kicked off in magic kingdom

Place ain’t what it was!!

Did a couple of the Star Wars rides at disney. Not a massive star wars fan (enjoy them but not in a geeky way). Some proper full kit wankers bobbing around the place but have to say it’s pretty amazing. Both rides are incredible - rise of the resistance is fully immersive

Here’s a few photos I took

Fantastic isn't it, although I got booted off in the queue just after where the group of stormtroopers were due to technical problems. I got on the millennium falcon at least.

I didn’t know you had to book the parks as well! I heard you could only book your first three genie rides in one park and couldn’t park hop with ease, but that sounds fucking shite, when I went I did book rides over the two weeks but when we wanted to just pop another park for a meal we could.

Exactly. You can park hop anywhere after 3pm I think (might have been 2pm) but you have to visit your nominated park. Even if all you do is go into the park then instantly leave. Also not much character stuff going on compared to previous times as they don’t have the staff. Don’t get me wrong, was an amazing holiday but a few things that niggled.

It is mate. They stay in character. You get taken prisoner and they are just randomly talking to each other about space stuff - really is well done.

They had a few tech problems on guardians ride as well. I’d not be too happy if I’d queued for hours

Twat, that he is, Chapek has one job; making profit.

Disney lost a lot of it during the pandemic and Chapek is not arsed making films or people's enjoyment.

He's just being a good boy for Disney.

Let’s see how that goes when Disney plus goes up 35% in December I watch a lot if you tube stuff on it and eventually he will price the masses out it’s fir the rich only these days sadly

Am I going death or is the dialogue sound toss on Andor? I've had to turn the subtitles on. Not sure if I need a soundboard as just using TV speakers. I found the same when watching another film recently

My Tv sound is total crap.
Makes no diff to me as I am deaf, but annoys the hell out of Mrs KS.
Whats the simplest solution?

That was a slow start, could have done without half of those scenes.

Weird take but thought the final episode was influenced by Norther Ireland / troubles when locals started banging metal and with those police/security guards being based on the RUC.

Trevor from Eastenders (the police sgt) is more annoying than Jar Jar Banks. Was slightly humorous at first then got tedious.

Well it only took me until the second episode to pick up my phone, that’s usually a sign I’m not arsed. These 30 mins are shit, give us 1 hour episodes, when you factor in the recaps and titles etc you probably get 22 mins max.
