Holidays

Was absolutely hammered when we were there.. beautiful views from the top..we walked up from where main lift stops...was knackered as it was a hard walk in the heat.
She was disappointed we couldn't get a table at cafe bar..but probably go back next year so will pre-book food etc
first went there late 80s there was only a few beach bars it was cheap & stunning . We’ve been to kalkan last 3 years .

I’m flying to Palma end of September, then a ferry to Barcelona, then train to Valencia, only booked flights in and out so far, will wing the rest aside from maybe the first couple of nights in majorca got 2 weeks to wander about

My type of trip. I'm going on a two week all inclusive to Mexico end of September and would swap it for your trip in a flash. My Mrs wouldn't though so Mexico it is. I love just wandering about on my own.

My mum just got back from flying to Munich then Düsseldorf then Barca then Palma, back to Barca them home to Toronto on her own and she’s 78.

Gyros are the best, i had (At least) one every day i was there.
I still remember my “first”, I bought 3 from a little restaurant with a little side hatch take away whilst my wife went to use the phone, 2 for me, 1 for her, by the time she’d finished her call back home I was just finishing off hers haha, one of the best things I’ve ever eaten !

Yeah I’m with you mate, I went to
Mexico a few years back Tulum, all inclusive, I hated it, don’t get me wrong I loved the Mayan ruins and Cenote’s, swam with the turtles etc, just hated everything in between ..
We just wander and sometimes just book accommodation the night before the next phase

Hope you have a great time though mate

They are unreal, amazes me that you cant get one half as good at home as a bad one in greece.

Anybody been to Marrakesh? Considering a few days at the end of January, looks spectacular but slightly daunting.
Great experience if you keep your wits about you at all times. More a test of endurance than a holiday though. Foods nothing special to be fair, that's a personal thing and only aim to pay 25% of the cost of stuff in the souks. The Medina at night is well worth going to.
I was seriously looking at hiring a car but after studying the roads we got a taxi, best to organise it through the hotel, we sorted ours out with the owner of the riad / small hotel. We got him down to £30 for the day back in 2008, he took us into the Atlas mountains, Richard Bransons place, Marrakesh race track, some palace etc etc and various other places you'd never think of. Check the rules for their currency.

I was in Tunisia a couple of weeks before the terrorist attack at the Bardo museum where 24 died, put me off that region but good on you for going.
I stayed in the hotel next door to that.
I was nervous about going.
But it was a brilliant hotel and brilliant holiday.
At the end of the day would you never go in arndale because some lunatic attacked it.
Can't let idiots win .
