Crystal Palace (H) | Post Match Thread

In the last 4 months this fucking team have shortened my life by about 5 years, I fucking love it mind.
Ha ha ha, absolutely yes. I am 58 tomorrow so would actually like to hang onto my allotted years. I would appreciate it if Pep and the team gave those of us in a similar position some consideration.

Amazing performance by Bernardo Silva.
He was the only City player to bother Palace in the first half but in the second he ripped the left side of the Palace defence to pieces.
Aided and abetted by Alvarez coming on it gave balance to City's attack and the Palace defence was ripped to shreads.
Good job, as the first half performance was terrible. Only Bernardo played well.
If only Bernardo had scored from the dribble past 4 Palace defenders - it would have been goal of the season.
The headlines will all be about Haaland but they should be about Bernardo and as a side note Alvarez is going to be some player.

Unbeaten in four consecutive games when 2 goals down..........the real fcking mentality monsters.

Dire first half, even made ayew look world class.

Second half was the performance of champions.

What a rollercoaster, enjoy the ride and the boiled piss from the redshirts, especially those in the matchthread.

Oh, and it looks like weve had possibly our best ever transfer window AND won the netspend cup.

What a time to be a blue.

Harsh on Jesus imo who always gave his all.

When it's going great, then Jesus is a good player, but games like today he would have given up head down walking about, as for sterling when he had a golden chance would miss or for Haaland hat trick goal fall over

look both Sterling and Jesus are good players BUT today you seen the next level that the elite have a world class striker

Erm, didn’t Palace draw at Dippers a couple of weeks ago?
They did. But they missed a golden opportunity to get all three points, in my humble opinion...

Stuff such as building a solid structure, "investing" in set pieces, and relying on opposition losing their composure, do not present a viable strategy. They had no chance against second half's City, yet I did not see any intention to add or change anything in their game. And after 3-2 it was a case of too little too late...

I do not underestimate them, not for a moment, but I was confident we could come back. It was about us, not them...

Jesus, talk about Jackie 'keep them in love' and Hyde! I'm getting on a bit now, grey at the temples and drinking like a fish, if I see this city squad out in town then any of you owe me a pint. Or a new set of undies. Or a new wife. Burned through them all today.

I'll choose to read this as the game we overcame the perceived weaknesses in our game. Or landed from Barcelona at 15:50. Either way, next game get your crap together from the start blues.

P.S. Oh, and palace keeper, you can have the ball as long as you like now. Well, a substitute ball, Erling's kind of attached to the original.

P.P.S. I'd quite like a blonde, cheers city.

P.P.P.S. To the lad near me who said Pep out at half time,.. yeah ok.

Absolutely made up after being 2 down and stunning comeback second half with Haaland bagging a hat trick gonna be putting big numbers up if he continues and stays injury free, now don’t want to be a doom and gloom but clearly a few things aren’t right especially at the back we can’t keep giving teams a head start as sooner or later it catches up with you anyhow onto Wednesday now and N.forest ..

The scary thing is that the players are still getting used to Haaland and the type of runs he makes. Once they get used to his runs, he'll be unplayable. That 3rd goal was unreal; pointed to where he wanted the ball despite defenders around him, then confident and competent enough to hold them off and coolly slot in the corner. Generational talent.

But he doesn't fit in City's system according to the rags I know
