Thought Everton looked a lot more solid at the back with Coady there last night. I have always rated him. Now they need a striker, any striker, to give them a chance of staying up. They can't lose Gordon under any circumstances. This Garner signing is a very bad idea. They need experience at this point. The recruitment has mostly been dire. Almost a parody of how to run a football club.

Fuck me they could have had Romeo Lavia from us for £10m. He looks superb for Southampton. Why the hell did we sell him? I know we have a buyback clause but at just 18 he looks like a potential superstar to me. Forget Bellingham.
So he could develop and realise his potential and we can see how he copes in the PL. if he does well enough, then we can buy him back.

Are t we selling these young lads for two very specific reasons.

A, they have or they are stopping the amount of players out on loan one club can have.

B, clubs don’t really play loan signings especially young ones that they know aren’t staying.

I’m this case. Southampton have all the incentive to play him. Especially considering their transfer model over the last decadeZ

I think it’s a great idea, and this lad could be the first back through the door.

Agree, he looks mega.

Kudus from Ajax might join them. Would be an update to their CM which lacks are player who is creative and actual dribble with the ball.

It is shame we didn't loan him out. His buyback is £40m. He has been Saints best player in the last two games (Rags, Chelsea) which I have watched. I didn't realise he was so young (18 in January). I do trust City on recruitment but he looked so dominant against Chelsea it was ridiculous.

Doubt they would have taken him on loan. This way he's their player and they have interest in developing him with knowledge that they'll make a significant profit on him if we exercise our buy back option.
