I don't usually engage with other fans because football has a habit of biting you on the arse, but, a rag at work who said (after the Community Shield), "I'm not sure he (Haaland) will do it in the Premier League", - just came in - I said "looks like Haaland might do ok". - They, (face like a slapped arse) - "did he score last night?".
They are suffering badly and it's exquisite to behold.

Unfortunately, I think they have strengthened....previously they were in a battle for midtable....now I think they are in the battle for top 6

Casemiro though older is a very good player....Erikson the same

Ten Hag has them better organised and more solid defensively and Martinez has ousted Maguire who was an absolute liability so will defintely be an improvement and Varane was always a decent player

They will be a team who will be solid and use their pace on the break.

The new manager has impressed me so far, it was clever of him to lose the first two games so the bean counters would release not only this years transfer funds, but next years too. He knows if he doesn't get top-4 (or win the Europa), he will have to go, so why not at least spend the next guys money now?

But his biggest challenge will probably come tomorrow, if Ronaldo doesn't escape today Erik Tent Peg will be called in to see the 'think tank' (Bryan Robson/Alex fergieson/David Gill) and be told get Ronaldo back in the starting 11 - there's a lot of bright yellow strips need shifting and he's the man to do it.

One poor chap (or maybe chapess) on their red cafe said yesterday: why can't Ronaldo be their Haaland..... deary, deary me.

Manchester Utd are expected to follow up the signing of Antony with a 100m move for Cleopatra. The Egyptian international is expected to sign a 5 year deal with the option of an extra year. Utd see the 2 moves as a pyramid of success for years to come.
This is how it feels to be City
This is how it feels to be small
You bought Cleopatra
we bought the Giza.

Better of saying nothing about football and smile he will know why you are smiling

The PR from the Rags is off the scale:

The newspaper headlines today said that Erik ten Hag had suggested that Manchester United had worked it all out with Cristiano Rinaldo
He wants him there and Ronaldo supposedly wants to stay

Huge Lol
They want him out, he wants out, they offered him to nearly every team in Europe but wisely no one took up the offer of a 37 year old who only looks after himself and not the team on at least 500k a week but sure lets spin in this way

Reportedly Ronaldo has told his rag teammates that he will have more goals than Haaland by the WC break.

Which I wholly appreciated, as I am having a bad week and definitely needed a hardy laugh.

Had sky on earlier. Most commentators & pundits saying what a good deal Antony is. No one mentioned anything about Eredivisie tax or coming from an inferior league & how will he cope with the Premiership. Funny that.
