Any tributes will only be in London, the rest of the country won’t need policing for small gatherings, there would be more disruption at a Mick Hucknall concert.Didn’t think of it that way. Interesting point, thank you for raising blue

CorrectedJust got to watch that counter attack.
It still annoys me the first time Conte came to the Etihad with Chelsea, we dominated yet got done by Anthony Taylor if I recall.
Same team as the one in Seville for me, but with Alvarez in for Grealish. We are going to need his tenacity.
Of course there is magnitude to it. This is a massively historic event.
I would be amazed if on hearing the news the Queen had died anyone would say "who is that? I've never heard of her".
Like it or not she is a world renowned figure and given how Britain acts around the Royal Family I don't understand the surprise that sporting events are likely to be postponed.
Ah, the Facebook over used “amazed” word, of course people have heard of the Queen, doesn’t mean we all have to doff our caps.Of course there is magnitude to it. This is a massively historic event.

She's hardly some old dear that lives across the road though is she?We all lose people, the queen had a better innings than most, she had nothing to do with football so frankly football shouldn’t stop because one person died
She's hardly some old dear that lives across the road though is she?
Absolutely. Thousands of people die every day. The fact we are even considering postponing games because one person has died says everything about class divisions in our society. We all lose people, the queen had a better innings than most, she had nothing to do with football so frankly football shouldn’t stop because one person died
Why is her life more important than anyone else’s? Why is one persons life worth more than someone less privileged? If people want to miss the game out of respect for her let them make that individual choice, they can put their seats on ticket exchange, but don’t tell people who want to go to a game that they can’t. I bet they don’t cancel fucking work on MondayShe's hardly some old dear that lives across the road though is she?
I don't like it either but the simple fact is her life was more important than others. Why is her life more important than anyone else’s? Why is one persons life worth more than someone less privileged?
Her life had nothing to do with football, her death has nothing to do with football.I don't like it either but the simple fact is her life was more important than others.
Tbf that’s probably the only valid reason I’ve seen as to why they could be offI think all games will be cancelled because of policing issues, with them being needed for all the gatherings/tributes that will be going on this weekend.
Completely agree. But if her death closes parliament then it's going to postpone a few football games. Her life had nothing to do with football, her death has nothing to do with football.
It won’t have a big effect on most people, there’s no magnitude to it, one privileged monarch replaced by another. Charlie boy was still having an affair with Camilla when he married Di. His brother is a nonce and their Dad wasn’t the paragon of virtue. Love your family and friends but don’t waste your emotions on people of dubious reputation.
Also is it to do with policing the masses that will come to mourn her. Like it or not but millions of people will make a journey to pay their respect. We don't have enough police for everyoneCompletely agree. But if her death closes parliament then it's going to postpone a few football games.

Whether its this weekend or postponed to a later date, the game will still take place. So all leisure activities are being cancelled to “mourn”, including sport, hitting any business or individual that makes their money from football matches, but all non-sport work activities are still on (everyone outside of sport is still expected at work).
Make it make sense.
