If they were on I'd go to one but no doubt everything will get called off now. The fear of the backlash taking hold.

Would have been an ideal opportunity for football fans to pay their respects pre-match. Doing the minutes silence in a couple of weeks instead would lose the impact.

I do think this is the wrong decision. Start each game with a minutes applause and God Save The Queen to honour and respect her memory. the attendances at all games singing the Anthem in full voice means far mare than deserted grounds and a sense of animosity that will be the result of this very short sighted opinion

Chelsea nailed the timing with appointing Graham Potter, didn't they?

He'll get this weekend and next weekend off then head into a 2 week international break so he should have loads of time to get his feet under the table and become familiar with the squad before they play Palace in 3 weeks time.
