Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

Cricket is going ahead at all levels.

The Premier League and FA have fucked this up
The cricket today is postponed and the only reason cricket might receive dispensation next week is because there is precious little summer left to fit the fixtures in. None of this is a surprise as it was anticipated on her demise.

Sort of a microcosm of where we are really. We'll let ordinary people suffer economic harm as a result of decisions made by people who don't consult us in any meaningful way and treat us with contempt. The decisions themselves are irrational and mired in some sort of faux reverence for a bygone era and a way of life that much of the rest of the world has moved one from when we seem incapable of doing so.

if cricket is on next weekend, as in the 17th September, i'm expecting bumper crowds of 50,000 at Timperley Cricket Club

Do you think postponing a game will kill you, anyone, us or the league?

I get being not arsed over her death is seen as being a bit “edgy” for some but if I’m being brutally honest, I couldn’t give a fuck what those in the minority think.
Its not about the actual football itself that I'm concerned about. Its the thousands and thousands of already struggling small businesses who rely on a match day to bring in much needed income where my sympathies lie.
That's the crux of it and that's why in a modern world the outdated notion that the man on the street should suffer because a country is coming to a standstill to mourn doesn't sit right with me.

The FA and Premier League have been made to look like absolute mugs here.

I mean, the decision to call the games off tomorrow actually benefits me because I'm moving house and a few walls need painting. The Spurs game being called off means I can dedicate the day to that task instead. But forcing people to mourn something while the rest of the sporting world just carries on is fucking bonkers.

And now this decision by the ECB makes it all look much, much worse.

Seeing as other sports are carrying ( rightly in my mind ) the more I think that the dippers being at home is the reason.

The premier league cant risk the dippers ignoring a minute silence or booing the National Anthem.

I could be wrong .

Put one into the petrol station once and just tapped my crease cool as fuck like I didn’t care :)

I know it's never their fault, but on this occasion I don't think it is their fault.

I’m rather hoping Surrey can pip Hampshire and win the County Championship, but if the fixture against Northants is postponed next week, it might have to be played in October.
