Yeah. Crawley got 50 on his own at a strike rate of 8 an over.
More importantly; no wickets down so it’s in the bag.
Rules are rules so it’s go off for light and back tomorrow. Bonkers.
 
That’s often said, but on the sub continent they play as evening dew is falling. Better to risk dew than send people home like today. In heavy dew, run round the outfield with a rope.
In the county championship all September games start at 1030, it only becomes an issue if it is a one day game which makes it unfair, not a 4 or 5 day game where both sides will get it.
 
Surely the length doesn’t matter? If we weren’t getting many results, I’d be with you and say we need longer to complete more matches.

Teams can’t bat for very long anymore, so games a naturally shorter.

What would the benefit of changing it to 4 day tests?
Would be better if the draw was an option and something teams could play for if under the cosh like with footy it makes the game more interesting !
