That's good for you but plenty of others need to go into a bank. Old dear with no internet, businness' paying in cash etc.
Local branches are shut to save money. If there was no call for high street banks then why are they now starting to replace the closed ones with 'hubs' via post office

That’s why they take money at the post offices these days.

If the branches were worthwhile and they kept people banking with them, they’d be open.

Whenever I frequent a branch, there’s hardly anyone in it.
 
I used to have a 6 mile trip the odd occasion I needed to pay cash in at the bank. And then I stumbled across the info that I can do it at the post office about 200 yards from my front door. I can’t ever envisage going in a bank again to be honest. The world doesn’t revolve around me but physical banks are clearly on their last legs. Plenty of them knocking about now that don’t have any face to face facilities whatsoever.
 
Can the thread title be changed, it’s a bit ambiguous. Perhaps scrap the bit about football being OFF now, I thought the pg120 confirmation had been revoked for a moment there.
 
Brighton cancelled due to the rail strike, which has now been cancelled itself.

They had a week's notice, you think they would put it back on, unless it is too close to London and they expect big trouble in Haywoods Heath?

This is from The Evening Standard;

Chelsea’s Champions League game against RB is set to go ahead as planned, but the Arsenal match was considered higher risk due to its proximity to the weekend and the chequered history of travelling PSV supporters.

London clubs fear the strain on police resources could lead to further postponements this week and over the weekend.

Among the other at-risk matches this weekend, Tottenham host Leicester on Saturday, while on Sunday Brentford face Arsenal and Chelsea play host to Liverpool.

The EFL has confirmed that its fixture schedule would resume from Tuesday but acknowledged that "challenges...may emerge regarding the policing of specific fixtures", with matches to be considered "on a case-by-case basis".
