This is going over my head. Sorry. I am missing something obvious here, aren't I? Could you (or someone else) explain that one for me, please?
There was a photo posted from the Scouse derby the other week of somebody holding up a Steau Bucharest banner up. It is something the red dippers do to wind up the blue dippers.

Their thinking is that the blue dippers had their best chance ever of winning it before they got everybody banned

Steau won it that year while English teams were banned

Thank you.

Not working though, read the comments on any Liverpool story in the media the dislike of them seems to be universal.
They had to remove the comments section in the Daily Telegraph this morning on the story of them booing the National Anthem. They got absolute pelters from 99.99% of the readers. So as usual the comments were pulled and everything is OK again. Scousewashing by the media at it's finest. The article was by Oliver Brown the supposed 'Chief Sports Writer' who let's just say spun the events of last night in a super positive LFC way. It matters not though. Every football fan in the UK knows exactly what Liverpool and their feral fanbase are about. The media is kidding no one but themselves.

Ole was at the Molde Wheel

In order to keep the out of towners in the news, the media has run with a story on the back of the Champions - several outlets have reported today on how the former Molde manager "put a call in" to Utd after his chief scout had advised him how good Erling Haaland was.

They would not listen, they did not know how, perhaps they'll listen now...

Steau won the cup when Everton (who were champions) were banned because of Heysel. It is a sick joke by LFC fans after they killed 39 innocent people sparking the ban. As sick as it gets. It was covered by the media in Italy but ignored here. LFC fans have been doing this since the 80s with virtually no comeback.

It's what they do all the time with those red bellends, just happens that this is obviously a bit more high profile; usually it's about the amazing atmosphere at Anfield, or the sell out at old Trafford - most of us aren't blind or deaf you cunts!!!!

The media are mostly just scum these days, bought for and chasing clicks. Very few reputable “journalists” left.
Henri Winter was being called out on Twitter last night as like most he is too afraid to speak the truth re Dippers and posted about the immaculate minutes silence and comments were like why not report the truth, why are the media scared of Liverpool etc.

What sums them up is a Sun click baiter, i wont call him a journalist. Don or Dan Shodden i think, posting a video of him laying flowers for the Queen in quiet contemplation. So much so he happened to have someone with him filming. Search for it as the comments were pretty funny esp the person who replied that he was next to him and his 4 takes of getting the video correct with angles. And this same reporter has previous slagging one of the Royals, Markle, off for using sad news as photo opportunities
It was Dan Wootton a regular presenter on the Faragist GB News. There's a thread on him started as a result of this incident on the Politics forum. He's a reprehensible hypocritical twat.

It reminded me a bit of the City end at Anfield in January 1994 when the silence was held for Matt Busby. It wasn't a majority then, either, but in the Sunday press we got quite a lot of stick for the disruption by a vocal minority. The dippers observed it pretty well, as I recall on that occasion and booed us afterwards.

I personally thought the criticism of our fans that day was deserved. It's quite remarkable, though, how there's a desire to brush it under the carpet on this occasion when Liverpool fans are at fault. Considering it was broadcast live, the media outlets pushing this take can only be said to be trying to gaslight us.

I also note that The Athletic is one of them. In a brief piece entitled 'Liverpool, EFL clubs pay respect to Queen Elizabeth II with minute’s silence,' readers are informed as follows:

If they consider that disruption "minimal", they're being very generous. We all know that if similar had happened at the Etihad, we'd be absolutely hammered for it.

Still, that's The Athletic yet again showing its true colours. I initially subscribed at half price and am currently in a second extension, for both of which I paid a discounted GBP 1 per month. But I won't extend again when my current subscription ends in about four months, even if they tell me I can do so for free.
I was there that day (first big away without an adult) even turned up & paid at the turnstiles, think it was more alcohol induced rants from a few, who where told in no uncertain terms to button it, got a few slaps & spat on for my troubles after the game as I’d stupidly decided to wear a shirt :) always hated the Scouse rats!
The media campaign before, during & after last nights game has been something else

"Talking of Money..."

Nobody was until you mentioned it you comfy chaired ****.

Don't remember this **** mentioning money when the dippers subbed on their £85 million pound man last night..

The useless Portuguese lump couldn't even make the starting 11..

BT twats..!

BT have set their 'How can Dortmund stop City' stall out early...

...and now it's 'when are we going to stop talking about £100M Jack Grealish.

They REALLY are CUNTS!!!
They’re also (as well as a lot of the media) hoping to drive a wedge with their over-praise of Haaland, the narrative is being set right now. They’ve gone from ultra negative about everything City, to heaping praise on Haaland (which he deserves) at the cost of the team, Pep sniffed this out weeks ago
