I have not read the book Britannia Unchained book yet which is sets out the dystopian society that we can expect from this lot It would suggest that the fact that they are no longer listening to political focus groups that the intent is to ram through as much of this far right wing guff before they are kicked out.

I wouldn't put it past Kwartang to throw in because we've had to pay the funeral he will announce measures he was going to put in over cost of living but can't now. And anyone who complains will be classed as unpatriotic.

They don't have a minimum wage (the stick person cartoon is a bit exaggerated) but do have collective bargaining which generally gives workers a good deal and they are amongst the best paid in the EU. Sadly, it will never happen here.

My nephew lives and works in Sweden - he says taxes are high but you get what you pay for ( he should know he has 2 kids there from 2 mothers - always was a handsome smooth talking bastard ) but more importantly he says the picture being painted about Sweden and social issues there are not what most Swedes would recognise - on the whole they are happy with their lot too

my brother is there too. think he was skeptical at first but doubt he's coming back now. things (public services) just work there better, according to him. also, gap between poor and rich is generally much narrower than over here, so he reckons more people have a sense that they're doing alright and creates a more positive society.
