They don't have a minimum wage (the stick person cartoon is a bit exaggerated) but do have collective bargaining which generally gives workers a good deal and they are amongst the best paid in the EU. My nephew lives and works in Sweden - he says taxes are high but you get what you pay for ( he should know he has 2 kids there from 2 mothers - always was a handsome smooth talking bastard ) but more importantly he says the picture being painted about Sweden and social issues there are not what most Swedes would recognise - on the whole they are happy with their lot too
