Queen Elizabeth II

A truly amazing visual and musical spectacle to mark the end of a truly remarkable life for a truly remarkable person, who possessed so many remarkable qualities.

Think it’s all downhill for the Monarchy, and most likely the nation, from here.

We’ll never see the like of her again.

I’m not so sure. As much as today was about ceremony and tradition, think the royal family is still more in step with the country, and arguably more progressive, than our elected politicians are.

They’ve got a few generations left in them yet I think.

Well no-one does pomp and pageantry like us, that was quite a spectacle.
I've never, or ever will again, seen anything like that.
The final procession at Windsor, past her horse, and when she was lowered into the vault, was all pretty moving.
GSTK!

Not sure what that has to do with andrew

Did you honestly expect a member of the Royal Family to be thrust into hand to hand combat?

Regardless of any unpleasant aspects / events in his personal life, it remains a fact that Andrew served well for Queen and Country in the Falklands war.

Sorrow has been the overriding emotion for me today but it was closely followed by pride, pride in our nation, especially in our Armed Services, they gave 'the boss' an amazing send off, absolutely wonderful spectacle, the way the country has responded since her passing has shown so much of what is good about being British.
