The Boxing thread

what a strange split decision, such a wild swing of scoring

116-112 112-116 111-117

WTF did the one judge see that the others did not, did he see $$$$?

Watched a couple of old fights on YouTube last night Benn Eubank 1 and Michael Brodie vs In Jin Chi 1.
2 classics.

Intriguing fight. Parker is experienced, Joyce is old for a relative novice. Joyce's relentlessness probably sees him through in the end

Joyce would give any of the current heavyweights a difficult night, he took a few heavy/clean shots tonight and barely battered an eye lid literally. He's an absolute unit aswell, definitely interesting having him in the mix at the top level was impressive tonight.

Really enjoyed the fight, Parkers game plan was all wrong and burnt himself out. Could have won on points if he didn't try to go for the KO in the early rounds.

Joyce is incredibly durable and fit he's not a great boxer but will take everyone bar Usyk and Fury into tough gruelling fights.

He should push for Wilder or AJ would be really interesting to watch.

A superb performance from Joyce - his 'Juggernaut' nickname is utterly appropriate. It is hard to believe that he would trouble the very best (I am sure that speed would hurt him) but he showed last night that he is improving and is teak tough and strong.
