What’s the new rumour that’s brought this into the knews ?
I personally love him at City

Whenever I see a reference to experts I am reminded of Merson and Thomson on KDB. Most of these “experts” know nothing or they are so blinded by their own biases and club allegiances they cant see the truth unless it’s wearing a Dipper, Rag or Arsenal shirt.Yes, but these so called experts, ex professionals etc…. Have got nothing on the armchair intellects of this here forum….
A couple of extra reasons why we would want him, he is English, quite clearly Englands best central midfeilder, at 19 he has the experience Pep usually goes for, amorisization,we do not have a box to box, pace through the center.Whenever I see a reference to experts I am reminded of Merson and Thomson on KDB. Personally I’d rather leave these decisions to the Club. For the most part they have shown they are pretty good at spotting talent.
In the article in the Sun this morning they make a pretty compelling argument why we would be interested in Bellingham - KDB’s age, Gundo’s contract situation and continuing uncertainty over Bernie’s future. If he were available for £83 million we would have to take a serious look at him.
We don’t have a use for a box to box midfielder. 90% of our games are played in the opposition’s half.A couple of extra reasons why we would want him, he is English, quite clearly Englands best central midfeilder, at 19 he has the experience Pep usually goes for, amorisization,we do not have a box to box, pace through the center.
Well people are pretty skeptical because your talent or technical ability do not improve as you age, you either have it or you don’t. The only thing that improves as he ages is his tactical understanding of the game. Can’t blame people for failing to see anything special, he is just a functional midfielder which is why it is baffling that people are saying 150m euros on him.

Being English isn’t that much of a reason to buy him as he would probably be classed as a foreign trained player unless he’s played 3 years between 15-21 in the U.K..

He doesn't turn 21 until June 2024.
Have you missed Gundogan scoring lots of goals as a box-to-box player?

We have Rodri and 3 defenders to do that. What about the ten percent that aren't?
Or maybe we need someone capable of defending midfield areas against counter attacks?

We could be able to use his box to box abilities in a few games against the better sides, but we have Bernardo to do that currently and Phillips, should he ever be fit.
I’m not sure Pep thinks much about pace as an important attribute. And neither offer the same attributes. Philips is more of an aggressive clogger (has injury issues) and Bernardo is more attacking and doesn't like rainy Manchester. Might be off this summer?
On the counterattack, after playing corner kick perhaps. Are Rodri, Dias and Laporte blessed with pace?
I’m not sure Pep thinks much about pace as an important attribute.
I’m also not sure that we need to spend £100m+ on a player solely needed for his recovery runs.
i can’t think of an attack from one of our corners that has resulted in an opposition goal, but I may have missed one at some point.
I’m sure our scouting team know better than I. I merely can’t see what makes Bellingham worth £100m. Grealish neither, although he does have the ability to keep the ball better than most.Might as well say we don't need to buy midfielders to be honest.
We have two over 30, one always looking like he is on his way out every summer and still yet to find convincing understudies (who you would be confident about playing as an 8 in Champions league knockout games)
Maybe we shouldn't try to do things by half and take risks on injury prone or lesser quality players?
If we were prepared to spend £100 on Grealish don't see why we can't spend it a younger player of the same quality.
What are the alternatives in the market?

Maybe Bellingham is the answer. It just wouldn’t be for me at £100m+.
I would offer Barca £100m for Pedri if I was lent Tkixi’s special jumper for the day though.
Can't see anything in his personality that particularly screams "Ravel Morrison" myself, quite the opposite if anythingThere have been many players coming through our youth set up in the last few years, not many gone on to greater things..Phil and Cole will be with us..The only two players recently I regret losing were Lavia and possibly sancho..sancho a rag so he can do one..100 million or there abouts for a 19 year old..There are players like Messi, you just know they will be great..Erling and Alvarez.. Barca have a couple now..Jude is good, but not 100 million good..at the minute !! He is no Paul Lake but could be the next ravel morrison.
Yaya was alright.Might be one of those players you couldn't buy even on FIFA videogames though. I'd say well clear of trying to buy anyone off Barcelona, they don't let players go unless they are on the decline.
Yaya was alright.
Bravo. ;-)Yes. I thought you'd mention him. We bought a player who peaked after we bought him and didn't fit in their system within the first XI. Nowadays they have billion euro buyouts.
Apart from Yaya who has got better since leaving Barcelona after being a first team regular?

Not many qualms with paying top money for him either. Pretty sure we would get our moneys worth and then some one way or another, and he seems like he's got the character to handle a big price tag
