It's incredibly difficult to find that Colbert clip separately. In fact, I can't find it onits own. Ironically, you'd only be giving Rogan "an audience" if you listened to him, but he says fuck all anyway, except astonishment at what he sees and hears.

You talk about not being interested in things that happen IN the US, but this is their direct involvement in Europe. Interested now? As for your "some correlation" comment, you fail to see the link in BloJo going over to the Ukraine to tell them NOT to have peace talks with Russia, earlier this year as it was against US strategy.

You should arm yourself with all facets of knowledge to understand where the line is. If you don't want to know the US plans years ago before they actioned it in Ukraine, fair enough.
You’re asking us to listen to one person to get the full or part facts?

I‘m sure there’s enough out there, and much closer to home, without having to resort to shit-show youtubers who will do, or say anything to get your click.

If you prefer to get your info from them, then fill your boots. Just not for me as I don’t want to be swallowing their jizz, as you say.

Of course they’re the same — I remember Democrats blaming the 1989 Loma Preita earthquake on California’s focus on controlling the AIDS epidemic.

FFS how in God’s name can any alleged liberal/independent criticize Dems when these absolute fucking idiot lunatics are the opposing option?

That weather manipulation bullshit is straight out of Alex Jones's playbook. He's been claiming since 2013 that the US government was controlling the weather and creating hurricanes, tornadoes and floods. He accused the US Air Force of creating a deadly flood in Texas in 1998. He rants about "weather modification" and accused Biden of creating deadly tornadoes in Kentucky in 2021. All these people are seriously fucked in the head. The frightening thing is that there are so many of them. It's like a mass hypnosis.

Incredible that this imbecile is the Republican nominee for Senate in Georgia. More astonishing still - he might actually win office.

Pointless interacting with someone who is howling at the moon.

I’ve made that mistake too many times.
It's indeed pointless interacting with Bigga:
1) He embraces radical positions all-out - mostly extreme left but occasionally extreme right;
2) He cannot accept any compromise whatsoever; a candidate who is in alignment with Bigga 99% of the time, but whom takes up a contradictory or neutral stance on his next favorite pet-peeve issue is instantly, in Bigga's updated opinion, Satan incarnate - and deserves to be voted out of office instantly;
3) Bigga is extremely caustic - disagree with him and you'll be in for a telling-off; rational debate on the merits, free of insult and emotion, is a skillset that Bigga simply does not possess;
4) Bigga adopts a strange mix of views - endorsing the idiot Joe Rogan for his anti-vax stance - and meanwhile crucifying AOC for her nuanced view on Amazon's behavior towards workers.
===
Due to the above, it's impossible to engage long-term in productive conversation with Bigga. And his inability to recognize that grey exists and is often the best outcome is especially frustrating - in his view, Trump is exactly the same as Biden.
===
Honest speculation - might Bigga be, in fact, some sort of Russian troll account?; designed to stir up maximum discord? I guess not - but in all honesty, foreign governments interested in the creation of maximum social media disruption have a thing or two to learn from Bigga.

3) His politics are absolute - black or white. No middle ground. Thus, Bigga lumps anyone at all in opposition or slight disagreement with his positions as black - absolute evil. And all of them are equally bad. Any candidate - actually, are there any candidates in this category? - who agrees with all of Bigga's options are God's gift - and deserve absolute support;
4) Bigga is extremely caustic - disagree with him and you'll be in for a telling-off; reasoned debate is an afterthought for Bigga;

I'll counter your stupid assessment with this as I haven't read your nonsense; examine the strikes around the West and tell me if 'compromise' has been working out.

I take back point 4 above - Bigga isn't caustic after all, and is capable of reasoned, fact-based debate free of insult!... LOL.

I spent a long time telling you and your ilk that the incrementalism argument didn't serve people's interests in a time when the rich got even richer. I tried 'reason' with you and others for a LONG time. I said this would happen and we're here.

It's not me that rants and raves and puts people on ignore. It's you and your mob.

Your country has billions to fund a war, but not to pay people adequate wages. Utilities are about to go up and your country blows up pipelines, blaming Putin when he can just turn off the gas as he has been doing and you keep voting in people who don't fight for the working class.

You reap what you sow.

Point 1 - Bigga against support of Ukraine. Extremist far right. Meanwhile, Bigga somehow connects support of Ukraine to a false narrative of Democrats failing to support the working class. Huh?

>> you keep voting in people who don't fight for the working class.
Point 3 - The USA elected Biden - who has done a tremendous amount for the working class in spite of a razor thin majority in Congress. Inflation Reduction Act? Student Loan Forgiveness? Chips Act? Yup - Democrats exactly the same as Republicans as neither party supports the working class, LOL.

Again it's black and white for Bigga - no grey. Either you're 100% for spending in support of the working class with no budget left over whatsoever to fund other worthwhile initiatives or you're "funding a war" and deserving to "reap what you sow."

No, I get that and all you say is true, but it just takes the game of brinkmanship to make a misstep and it all comes tumbling down. I was reminded today of an episode of 'The Colbert Report' where a guest was explaining US strategy (Ukraine, in this case) and the way they play with Putin.

I recall actually watching the ep on TV and may have it in one of my Hard Drives. If you'll actually watch it, I'll post the clip via Rogan, who doesn't say too much. It's, actually, eye-opening the plan the US had all those years ago to bear fruition now. FF to the clip:

When is the Colbert clip from? I didn't hear anything in it that was conclusive proof of anything. I like Colbert but he was playing it for laughs there, and why not he is primarily a comedian but there was no scrutiny of the guest who was giving a view. Other opinions and versions of the truth are available.

I fast forwarded to the clip but not before hearing the guys at the start say how terrible it was that we faced the risk of a nuclear war. I don't think they get the thinking out of the box prize for that. Immediately after the clip it was "ooh those things we did that that chap just said". I didn't watch the rest so maybe they challenged some of the thoughts that were put out but I suspect not. You won't like me for saying this but you've been pretty critical of those you accuse of being gullible and not being able to see the bigger picture (or is that the Bigga picture) but you seemed to have posted a clip here that supports the view you already hold rather than adds any fresh insight.

Did I miss something about the US being accused, or even proven to have blown up pipelines? Is there something factual you can point towards in that respect?

It’s Russian disinformation that some people are only too willing to believe propagated by the likes of Tucker Carlson and other pro-Russian shills.

LOL!!

Okay, this REALLY simple, a bit like y... No, I won't go there.

Explain to me about "point 1" what inaccurate about that statement. Is it the funding to the tune of billions or the fact the people are underpaid? I'll wait for you...

Maybe there's a "Point 2" you skipped or you can't count, I don't know which, but anyway your slam dunk of a "Point 3" of making microprocessing plants. Whoopee...? This will soon be outsourced to countries that can make the product cheaper!

Oh and your crown jewel of SLF; this is the second time Biden has reshaped who qualifies for it and may even shave more off it come the near future!!

What great arguments you have...

The clip is from 10 years ago and as I said said, it shows the strategy the US have held for a long time. I listened the guest of Rogan talk, but I didn't find it interesting. I found the Colbert guest interesting.

Colbert was good enough as a Democrat voter to style his show in the way a GOP/ right winger would love, ergo he had a lot of guests that got suckered into appearing before they cottoned on.

If you think taking in information from the left AND right makes me "gullible", that's your view.

The problem is, I can see a wolf in plain sight and I prefer the knowing of my enemy. My problem comes when a wolf is dressed with cotton balls around it, pretending it's on your side.

I'd rather be wary of it, than let it gnaw my leg in front of me.

Of course there's nothing factual, just yet. Speculation on both sides!

I think why would Gazprom who have already stopped the flow of gas to Germany and the West blow up its own pipeline, something that cost billions to build?

Sure Putin might have given the company a (pointless) backhander to take the hit or the US (and acolytes) have made a move that doesn't strictly cross the zones into war. Nobody can go to war for that.

It's also handy the US are suggesting countries buy their production of oil.

Well I can see how people might be lead to that conclusion and I certainly don't think it's beyond the US to be underhand. Your original comment on this though was "your country blows up pipelines" which sounded like your mind was already made up about it.

Reading comprehension isn't a strong point of yours I suppose. I guess that explains some of the illogic you spout... hint... points 1 and 3 refer to the capsule summary of your beliefs/tendencies which I detailed several posts above.

Anyone who thinks for a second that the USA is blowing up its allies pipelines is either delusional or is intentionally pushing Putin's narrative. Full stop.

A few posts back I contemplated that Bigga is actually a pro-Putin troll, but quickly dismissed the idea; it seems that I may have been too hasty.
