How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Erm we have blue passports I suppose, our living standards are falling that much that all those filthy foreigners won’t want to come here anymore. Sunlight uplands and all that.

Countries plan and model for pandemics and the invasion of Ukraine had been predicted since Russia annexed Crimea. Those who championed Brexit did so with the view of removing the U.K. from the comparative safe haven of the European Union so that it could navigate and exploit international conditions. When you make that decision, you automatically put the country in a higher category of risk (and possible return), so ‘unexpected’ international events can hardly be used as mitigating factors. There will only be more such events in the coming years.

Do not get me wrong here, I am on record as being Pro EU, my issue was that the EU did not go far enough and should have planned to develop into a federalised United States of Europe, a Federalised state that had EU armed forces, an EU wide social security system and healthcare system. An elected President and executive, with a Parliament will real power. As a Federal state it could have given autonomy to regions such as Catalonia and Scotland, it could have given more powers to local people.

It would also have given us the chance of a Socialist EU, already many EU countries are electing left wing Governments as the fight back against neo liberalism gathers pace. The EU as it stood was a neo liberal construct and that is why I was content with Brexit.

If only Labour had not allowed Starmer to push that ridiculous policy at the last election and Corbyn had been allowed to be true to his beliefs things could have been very different. Instead we got this clueless bunch offering oven ready deals and other such nonsense,

Corbyn the fucking dickhead said another brexit referendum if labour win!!!! Hang on what about DEMOCRACY not one fuck wit in the labour furherbunker said that’s not a good idea!!!! Worst defeat ever at an election.New Labour policy let’s keep voting until we get the result that suits us…Not one labour MP has ventured anywhere near a picket line not one,Labour has been hijacked by mung bean eating middleclass twonks who have never had their hands dirty in their lives who constantly slag working class voters off because they want what’s best for their families and communities who constantly are ignored by politicians and branded thick……The Labour Party are finished time for a new party

Its been exported to the EU for storage as we cleverly decided to close our gas storage facilities ( a Truss decision I believe ) but never fear this winter we can buy it back....... in dollars.......against which the pound has fallen.......so we will be buying it back for more than we sold it.

Which version of democracy do you actually think is the right one?

The one where, potentially one single vote wins?
The one where a party can get 40% of the vote(not a majority) and gets an 80 seat majority?
The one where 2m can vote for a party and they only get 1 MP?
The one where a union is told they have to have not just over 50% of members voting to strike but that they also need at least 80% of members to have voted?
The one where you're forced to vote a particular way at gunpoint?
The one where votes are influenced because a constituency is promised loads of cash?

Just interested as it's not an easy conundrum.
