I came away disappointed.

They were there for seven or eight without reply.

Thought Pep was very smart, the way we essentially gave up the midfield and overloaded the flanks.

The last time I saw that was in the Champions League second leg defeat to Liverpool, where have them a chasing too.

Gundo, Bernie and Kev all made up the triangle with the wide players and full-backs.

Well done Phil and Erling, terrorised them. Akanji, excellent.

Minor irritations, Cancelo so sloppy, Eddie terrible with the clipped ball to the full-back he put out of play every time.

What a win!
Really poor attitude first and last 10-15 of the second half, dropped off 10% in everything.
There is still a dangerous streak of complacency in the group which is why Pep so often does his nut when the scoreline says we are cruising. Saw it at Newcastle and Villa
That said the first half was among the best 45 minutes ever played by anybody in the history of the premier league. No exaggeration to say 7-0 wouldn’t have flattered us
Still not anywhere near our best, which is frightening for everyone else

Not closing down Ake was fatal for Utd.
Ball down the left flank to KDB or Grelish in space or a raking ball to the right wing or a ball down the centre for KdB or Gundogan or Haaland to do a wall pass with another City player. Or a surging run into central midfield.
Take a bow Ake the archirect of our win today.
I personally think our two centre halves today are now first choice in big games.

Question (two, actually) for @Gary James....

1. Last City player to score a hat-trick against Trafford's finest in a competitive game? Did Franny get one, back in the Fred and Wilma Flintstone days?

2. Have we ever had 2 hat-tricks against them in the same competitive game (no testimonial or friendly nonsense)?
1. Franny got one in December 1970 in a 4-1 away win. (I was there so less of the Fred and Wilma!). The only other was Horace Barnes in October 1921 also in a 4-1 win at home.

2. Not to my knowledge.

In case you forgot we just been the cunts 6 3, in second gear
L
We’ve not had one against them in the league since 2008

Buzzer is going to extend his normal life span watching what is being served before him. And Skip will be the same.must be fantastic for them to watch is happening these days. I know skip pretty well because he lives in Sale.
