Thanks for that. Mine are all adults so I'll avoid the summer holidays so.Yes and Yes but go in September unless you have kids
I met Mr and Mrs Incredible there. She was fit A.F. and was wearing some delightful thigh boots. Not keen on the rest of her attire as it was predominately red.Eurostar to Paris and then train to one stop before Disneyland on Friday morning. Got a cheap Air B&B 30 minutes walk or one stop on train. Visited Disney village Friday evening, Disney park yesterday, for Disney studios today. Enjoying it so far and much better than I thought I would. Other half loving it Wanted somewhere yesterday to sit for hour and have a beer or wine but couldn't find anything in the park without buying food. Queues not too bad, think longest we had was about 40 mins but most between 15-20 so far. Glad we knew to have already bought train tickets coming back at night as queue for tickets is crazy. Thanks to Robmcfc for advice and tips
Anyone traveled to Canary Islands in November-December? Did you like it?
What island is your favorite? I am choosing between Tenerife and Gran Canaria at the moment.
Lovely place. Nice sandy beach and very chilled pace of life.Have been to Venice a few times and liked it.
Thinking if going to that area for a week or more.
Has anyone been to Lido de Jesolo and would they recommend it?
Was there a few weeks ago, hired a car to see the whole island, scary roads but well worth itJust got back from Kefalonia, stunning place.
Most chilled out week i've ever had.
Fuckin ball ache waiting for cases at Manchester Airport....at least 2 hours.
So that's the last of our UK tour of the British Isles 2022 finished, having just arrived back from Cornwall. A fabulous county with lots and lots to offer the errant traveller. Places of note were Falmouth, Penzance, Newquay, and last but not least the jewel of our English Med .. St Ives Bay.
I don't think we would fancy St Ives in peak season due to parking and crowds, however the weather in October remained magical and the ambience good to go. It's beyond the pretty and if youve never been before then it's well worth the trek down south.
Falmouth hasn't changed much since my visit in 75 with R.N but couldnt for the life of me remember were our guest house was. All I could recall was it had yellow windows, a garden fronted sit out area and copious amounts of flower tubs. Gave up looking after the mrs got irittatable, so instead went for cornish tea with real scones and clotted cream. Couple of Oggies were also swallowed with gusto, far more appealing than any Gregg offing up north.
The caravan digs were good to go with lashings of hot running water, a comfy bed and nice sit out area. Location also sweet and near to the dunes for access to the beach. You were nobody unless you had a wetsuit and board under your arm, but still we managed to merge it along with the surf faithfull.
Night entertainment was ripping with plenty of live music .. and back at camp their Harry Style nightly signature dance will forever be forged to our feet. Top track is Late Night Talking and an easy shuffle strut for the elderly.

Portmadog or Pwllheli probably best places nearby for pubs/restaurants<not much in Criccieth at nightThinking of planning a short break to North Wales next year, anyone stayed in or near Criccieth? I see there are plenty of places close by to visit but what about the town for an evening? Any advice?
OK thanks, will have a look at thosePortmadog or Pwllheli probably best places nearby for pubs/restaurants<not much in Criccieth at night
5k all inclusive will probably still be cheaper than Cornwall and you should be guaranteed plenty of sunshine. I love Cornwall but stopped going during the school holidays when a semi decent caravan went up to £2500 for a week.Went to Kos in August and cost us £3600 all inclusive for 10 nights. Exact same holiday next summer is now 5k :(. Got a feeling its gonna be Cornwall next summer and enjoy a summer break at home. Maybe take the kids up to Scotland and some of the remote islands.
