Threadneedle Street?I can see a real shitstorm on Friday, this Government will have people rioting on the street before they are through.
We're in a mess, I'm fearful for what lies ahead of us, we've got absolute charlatans running ( or not) the country, how have we allowed this to happen, how do totally un qualified idiots control the country, everything they touch turns to shit, my kids and there kids and there kids will be paying for this incompetence for years to come.
So where are they getting the money from if not cutting spending?
They'll do what every uk government has done .... print it (cos you cant borrow sterling off anyone other than the BoE)
Here's an explanation
Stop thinking that you run an economy like you run your own household budget .
Can anyone help on mortgages?
I am on my 1st one, I got a 5 year fixed in March 2020, paying approx £ 650 a month with Nat West.
I get really anxious on stuff but am I right in saying I can't do anything until at least another 2 years when it comes to getting a new deal? Just don't know whether I should be doing anything now, my parents are no longer alive so I'd usually ask good old Dad for some advice. Cheers
Which will only worsen the economic issues further, leading to vicious cycle of monetary interventions begetting instability beggeting monetary interventions, as it already has.
You cannot print your way out of hyperinflation, self-inflicted export decline, and gross fiscal mismanagement.
Governments will never have a coherent strategy of any kind if they can rely on QE to bail them out of the shit every couple of years. You can if you have a coherent trade and industrial strategy and use the money for infrastructure and development of the workforce. Which they don't and won't do.
Not even that will allow you to print your way out of currency devaluation and hyperinflation, as doing so only makes the issue worse. You can if you have a coherent trade and industrial strategy and use the money for infrastructure and development of the workforce. Which they don't and won't do.
Just come from a parish council meeting where we heard of another planned giant warehouse. It's very high, because that's what robotisation can allow. The developer says that's due to Brexit (automate rather than employ eastern Europeans) - but there's a delay because the electricity supply for the robots needs new substations. This whole shambles is the bastard child of brexit.
A clique of ideologues and zealots who simply disregard the views and experience of experts, and plough on, caring nothing for the norms and standards of public, or political behaviour, and their consequences, promise us the earth, and simply behave as if they can do exactly what they want, in an existence totally independent of the rest of the world.
It’s just brexit rinse and repeat.
And it seems some have not learned a thing.
