Great post.

Re 2, I do think Heysel is relevant (whether appropriate to chant about, maybe another matter, and conscious you didn't reference it explicitly) in discussions about fan behaviour involving Liverpool though. For that club and their fans to lecture others, especially given how they've behaved post Heysel, does not get enough coverage, discussion or airtime.

Agree about your comment on the future though - dangerous flashpoints around our games with the Mickeys is a big possibility
Yes just a couple of months ago those loveable LFC rogues were taunting Everton fans by referencing Heysel with a Steau Bucharest banner. (Everton missed out on Europe because of the ban and Steau won the European Cup that year) Imagine making a joke at the expense of 39 people's violent deaths. I don't think a single mainstream media outlet carried the story....but it was covered in Italy where LFC fans have such a great reputation.

The press haveht got a clue.
The relationship between City and Liverpool fans has never been great.

Liverpool "fans" have bricked City coaches as long as I've been watching live football (mid 70's). In fact it is so bad that going to Livetpool is as bad as going to Leeds or Milwall.

But it really kicked off to current levels when the City coach was trashed during the "Coach Welcome" 4 or 5 seasons ago during the ECL knockout game at Anfield.

It's all down to Liverpool police who let the local scallies get away with so much. Do what they do in Manchester and you'll be in the back of a police van before your feet touched the ground.

Coin throwing in Manchester will get you a long stadium ban, not in Liverpool - they don't even try to catch the culprits.

We knew it.

What an absolute hypercritical c*nt Nevile has become. He sounds like a wannabe politician (chasing the money) more and more.

Note the reference to the UAE. C*nt!

Turkey has a worse human rights record than UAE, will he approach UEFA regarding Turkish Airlines being the champs league official partner. Fucking rat.

He a ****, nothing more.
And in that article Neville states as fact that City are: "owned by Abu Dhabi." It is just a lie, plain and simple, and as a rival property developer in Manchester he must know that Sheikh Mansour and our co-owners Silver Lake are currently developing a new arena and that City have proposals in the pipeline for thousands of new homes and at least two new hotels (one as part of the new North Stand and another on the Mercedes garage site). So is he lying because he fears local business competition from City and anyone else we partner with? It can't be because he dislikes Arabs because he has just taken a lucrative job with the Qatari regime.

Maybe he's fine with taking money from Arabs

They're in full-blown propaganda mode.

Meanwhile...

That nunez stats page, fancy sky missing out the most important stat(goals scored) from that list, anyone would think that if you play forward for the dippers you dont need to score, sky will still want you so bad its embarrassing.

They also missed another one hes first at...........red cards...........#polishing a turd at sky, #desperate.

To be fair though, didnt they find a similarly generous list of specific cherry picked stats to show our Jack in a better light in his first season with us...............oh, but theres no bias or agenda.

He’s lying because nobody is calling him on it.

Imo, City should announce an “investigation“ into Neville’s comments and that he is not allowed in the Etihad until it is completed. I wonder how long the grovelling apology will take after SKY lose one half of their dynamic duo.
