Right wing talkers always use the same fallacious arguments to hide their vile nature. They actually think dog whistling is clever but only those dumb as rocks don’t hear it.

It is always the same. One would think they go to sleep with headphones with arguments like these on repeat.

Edit: The funniest part is when they are eventually pushed into a corner and the facade drops. Many of them like this guy start spouting about “globalists” or other conspiracies. It’s sooo hilarious. I don’t know how any self respecting person of color shags with these people.

How does going to a socially elite public school and working in the city of London rebut the notion that Sunak isn't representative of Britain?

It’s bollocks. I know he is speaking from a racist position, Boris doesn't represent Britain either. Born in New York, fluent in French (because he went to school in Brussels) but spoke like Del Boy when goading Macron.

They are both affectations, they aren't even genuine personalities and they don't represent anyone but themselves. Sunaks smarmy nice boy wally act (Will from Inbetweeners) and Alexander Boris the clown.

The Party for fossils who want to live in 1955 and are literally prepared to destroy this country's economy in an attempt to achieve their fantasy.
There is a place for a modern, centre-right party with pragmatic views. This is not it.

Honestly? I listen to that and I just despair. His daughters work in the City - like Sunak once did - he is proud to have served for his country presumably in the 1st Btn Racist Rifles - and he bangs on about this is England - ENGLAND FFS - not even recognising we are officially the UK. From about 30 seconds in its clear he is dancing around skin colour.

So many unanswered and unasked questions. For example what does he think of Kwarteng and Javid? What about Badenoch? What about Patel and Braverman? My guess would be its a pass for the ladies, not because he is a gentleman but he can stomach their skin colour (just) because they don't like forriners either

I didn't listen to it all, waste of time, I knew he was a disgusting racist, but the rebuttal based on attending an elite public school is just daft.

I hate it even more in the States. The GOP brings out minorities to literally use them as props. They have no real power or say in the party but that’s not their purpose.

Hershel Walker for me takes the cake. He represents every terrible stereotype of African American men. Deadbeat dad? Check. Woman beater? Check. Lusts after white woman? Check. Athletic but dumb? Check. The cynicism for the Republicans to introduce a candidate like that for a US Senator position to display a facade of openness and diversity is twisted beyond belief.

The worst part is that he may actually win against an African American man they hate in Warnock. The smart, well spoken, morally clean African American man.

Sorry to deflect to American politics cause I hate to distract you guys from your own suffering but stuff like this just makes me boil and it’s depressing seeing it on a global scale.

There certainly seems potential that a further right party will arise in the way that UKIP's rise made Cameron think he needed to lurch right to neutralise them.

It seems odds on that the Mail/Express/Telegraph will follow (or lead?) and give them the publicity.

That leaves the more left side of the Conservatives possibly small or crushed - would some move to the LibDems? Not sure, but the logical approach for other parties is then to occupy the middle regions.

If they keep drifting further and further to the Right the less relevant they become - as Corbyn showed not enough Brits like extremists to elect them. You must not forget that even where they were before Johnson quit and they installed Truss they were polling very badly as a party and Johnsons ratings were down the pan.

Yeah but post Mayday Johnson evicted any moderates from the Party and they were replaced by swivel eyed Brexit supporting loonies many of whom hated foreigners with racist leanings so the number of people in the Party who were prepared to say this and support it. The Tory Party is a much different place in just 5 short years
 
The problem is people don't really know what they want. Well, they do. Low taxes, high wages and top-quality public services. But it's impossible to square the circle. Especially when Brexit has cut 4% off GDP, every year forever. To put that in context, that's enough to build HS2 every year!

This country is deeply corrupt and malign organisations including but not limited to Tufton Street, the Daily Mail and the RW media generally hold us in thrall and stop us from modernising. Part of the problem is we have never had a proper revolution and so outdated institutions have never been reformed and resist reformation. These include Parliament with its bloated, unelected Upper House and its pathetic, outdated voting system for the Commons. The absence of a proper codified constitution is also a liability. The system only works if everyone is a 'gentleman' with 'honour'. All it takes is a chancer like Johnson to demonstrate that those unwritten conventions no longer suffice.

How anyone sorts this mess out I do not know. I suppose theoretically an actual revolution might break the logjam, but revolutions can also lead to chaos and dictatorship.
