FSG don’t think FFP has been implemented as it should have been after buying Liverpool.

Lucky for FSG FFP wasn’t implemented properly otherwise that £50mill for the New Anfield wouldn’t have been used to cheat FFP sanctions.

According to his reliable source, Bellingham is all but done and he will be a Liverpool player. Over to the Bellingham thread. Lock it!

I hate to almost say it but Leeds is a much better investment.. buy it cheap and build it up over time and then watch what happens to the rags!

Another yank will buy them another hedge fund purchase! Also when FSG realise there is noway the premier will let them join any new super league that’s them out!

In todays climate though I can’t see anyone interested in them!
 
IMO that statement they made is appeasement of the fans. You know how touchy they are, so they change the narrative to be “we’re just looking for investment” and it stops them dog piling on them, with all the grace and charm the scousers are famed for.

Yeah, shitshow it is.

The PL have never wanted to be protectors of the game. They are protectors of the clubs and facilitate any move or incoming owner as long as it brings money to that club irrespective of good or dubious background.

Chelsea and Pompey were the first clubs to see this if memory serves.
It’s been taken to the limit now with Abu Dhabi, Saudi and goodness knows which regime will arrive next.

UEFA and FIFA appear to exist to bring in as much money as possible to their federation which is somehow tied to lining the pockets of the top brass. New competitions that nobody wants except the tv companies and World Cups in countries with shocking human rights records.
 
Oh please let them be purchased by a Middle Eastern Emirate.
The climb down would be just hysterical - hopefully it'd also be run like Ratners Jewellery (you know "yeah we're rinsing Liverpool supporters for all we can get without a decent product")
