How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

I don't expect we will re-join the single market or EU any time soon. I just think we will start to re-evaluate after the election and that process could take years.
Agreed. I think Labour's politicians will first be prone to their own flights of fancy and believe that they can make an even better fist of the Brexit benefits than the Conservatives.

just came to post that , who knew it would be a fuck up , me for one
No, never, it was a brilliant idea - it just wasn’t implemented properly by errr…….the people who……errr…….wanted it.
And if it had been implemented properly, things would be even worse.
What’s that you say Jacob? An act of self harm???

So tediously fucking predictable. We have fucked things up so badly and unnecessarily. It’s actually incredible how stupid we’ve been.

Yup and we ain’t doing anything to repair it, that budget was doom and gloom and zero talk about how we would get growth back into the economy. We have a low value pound at the moment, it could be beneficial on exporting however companies have shit loads of paperwork to complete to get goods out of the country and into the EU. Where is the debate to get this process more streamlined or the proper debate we should have had when leaving is staying part of the single market.

Johnson, Cummings and Reece Mogg and his cronies and also Cameron for being asleep at the wheel during the referendum should be locked up in the Tower of London for what they have done to this country.

Can somebody confirm that we have to do huge amounts of paperwork to export to Europe while they do not have to do the same to export to us?

According to Reet-Smugg we shouldn’t take any notice of these forecasts as they are always wrong!!!
Could old Jacob - the greatest example of a man completely inebriated by the exuberance of his own verbosity- ffs speak English Mogg - he is neither big nor clever - currently number 2 on my drop dead list

There might be a little hope.

Were heading into a depression the like of which we've never seen, events like this can trigger radical change, because everyone can see the old politics is broken.

All it requires is a party and a leader to seize the opportunity.

Unfortunately we have Starmer and New Labour.

The return to austerity economics is another demonstration of Einstein's truth “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

The truly sad thing is that as it stands Starmer could dance naked on the Queen's grave and still win the next election. Yet does anyone expect him to serve up anything other than a watered down version of what we already have?

Honest question, you think he's going to do something radically different?

I'm not expecting a socialist revolution or anything like that, what do you reckon he's going to do?
Not initially because when they win the election the economic constraints due to the state the Tories have left the economy won’t leave many options. However the direction and priorities that he sets will be radically different imo.
