You only need three years residency to play cricket for England, wherever you are from.
 
I am not watching the world cup ans going to do my best to ignore any results.
its a total disgrace its happening.
Hope some player or team makes a statement that shames FIFA forever more.

Like score in the final to reveal a shirt for a dead migrant worker.

The German one I can't be including him he's welsh his dad was serving in Germany only just seen that. But for a team who is so proud to be welsh & is changing the name of the country/team officially to Cymru after the tournament you'd think they wouldn't want 9 English lads in the team.

having read the final bios and I only get it as 5 english and 3 are fringe members not the starting 11, the one born in germany was because his dad was stationed there with army, same the saudi born one, theygrew up wherever their welsh parents went .

jodie morrel and ben johnson only 2 english born regular starters.

Ireland had more in the 90s and we loved them in 94 when england failed to qualify

The biggest strengths of English sport, be it Rugby, football, cricket etc. Is the fact that enshrined in the culture is that people put more store in their local club than the big razz an jazz of international tournaments. I have long left Manchester having come originally via Ireland but the local attendances for rugby an football is brilliant and not something to be taken for granted. Coming here I was amazed at how little a fuck English fans gave about the Heineken Cup, CL and even the internationals. I thought it was bizarre, but in hindsight I think it is the right attitude. Where I am now the best craic you can have is go to a Quinns London Irish game, Brentford when they were in the championship.

It's a huge factor in what keeps the sport healthy in this country, this WC is the opposite of it.

I'm guessing it's because you're devastated that Russia aren't at the World Cup considering your posts in the Ukraine thread.

Yh balls to them for sure. It just hasn't sat well with me since the Iceland match & that video of the welsh team celebrating our defeat came out, a bunch of English men jumping for joy that England got put out I just don't get it.
